Anthony Cook (DB Texas Longhorns)

I'm pretty sure that Cook visited UT today... 8D:sneaky:

So you are saying he went from an OSU lean to a Maryland lean? 8D

Edit: Missed the previous posts. I think OSU is definitely where Cook's head is at, just gotta make sure his heart follows. I think we have made some big strides there and when it comes to UFM and Coombs closing a recruit, suffice it to say I have faith here.

Second edit: Just remembered Anthony is from Houston, hope he and his family and friends are all ok.

I forgot about this as well, with all the talk of CFB and recruiting sometimes is easy to lose sight on these kids' real lives. Prayers are with him and his family

Double edge sword, right? He could come in and be an instant impact.

(On one side of the field)
I don' see it as a double edged sword, as Cook has expressed multiple times that he wants to play for a coach/team that can prepare him for the NFL. UT and Herman haven't sent any DBs to the league in a while that I can remember off hand.
And he could also be an instant impact at OSU next year as well(as Sheffield, Ward, Webb and Smith will be gone) finding a way into the 2 deep year 1. That's if he's ready...

Unless he has a phenomenal year, doubt it. If I remember right, he has 3 years of eligibility left.

Um, Texas is 2-2 and about to go through a stretch where it's not unreasonable to think they'd lose all three games (vs. KSU, OK, and OK St.).
Yeah well you do realize UT has 4 of the top 5 players in the state already verballed to the class right? The only one missing is Cook. And I didn't know the win-loss record of a first year coach was an absolute predictor for how a class shapes up.

I still like tOSU's chances but UT has made a big push and is the only legit threat IMO. That was my point.
