Any other lefty's here?

i'm equally good either right or left....i guess i'm amphibious
amphibious would mean that you could live in and out of the water, you meant ambidextrous. I too am ambidextrous. Finesse with the right and power with the left. You can blame mine on being the oldest of 4 kids and wanting to be different. I taught myself how to swing one handed and eat with my left hand. It drove my Dad nuts. I have one child that is a true leftie, poor thing couldn't use her right even it meant saving her life.

me and my oldest younger brother are the only lefties of 11 cousins.. we are probally the 2nd and 3rd most athletic.. behind my second youngest brother who is just a freak..

My brother is still highschool and is pretty smart but seems to be turning into a hippy and letting his grades go to shit so I dont know exactly where he would rank in intelligence, but I at least like to think I am the smartest of all my cousins..

Grad, my brother is 16 and has a pinpoint fastball and HUGE hands so if you can convince him to come pitch for you I'll be more than happy to arrange the meeting... cuz it seems the baseball coaches at our highschool arent having much luck with their begging of him to come play for them this year (he is more interested in playing the guitar now i think)

I'm kinda all messed up. I write with my left hand and bowl with my left hand. I always threw right handed but could also throw with my left pretty good also. Bat right handed. Here is where I'll throw a wrench into things. People talk about "lefties" being better athletes, and I think alot of that equates into hitting a baseball. My theory is, and always will be, is that batting "Left-Handed" is the normal way that a true "right-handed" person should hit. Think about it, a "left-handed" hitter stands in the right batters box. His dominant eye is his right eye. His dominant hand is his right hand. How many of the greatest hitters in the game have thrown with their right hand, yet batted "left handed?" These are the players that have simply been allowed to do what comes "naturally."

Just my opinion.

I'm a lefty too. Back in first grade my teacher insisted that I pick one hand to use so for some reason I picked the left one. I remember prior to that, using both hands simultaneously to color and write.

An odd lefty fact for you all, during the 1992 elections the three main presidential candidates (Bush, Clinton and Perot) were all lefties!

I'm a lefty who probably picked the wrong hand to write with. I play sports with my left but use my right hand in school. I'm fairly ambidextrous, as I broke my left thumb skiing thru the trees and had to play with my right hand for the early portion of my senior season (both myself and my partner were captains, and we were both gimpy from unrelated ski accidents). Fortunately I only had to play my teammates with my right hand (I wasn't too bad after I served a forehand into the box).

Even though I was obviously left handed my kindergarten teacher insisted that I pick one hand too...the right hand. My Dad had to intervene so that bitch would stop trying to make me write and color with my right hand.:teeth:

I'm a southpaw, but i am a horrible athlete. As far as brains, I'm one of those typoes of people that needs to go on Jeopardy to make some cash from all the otherwise useless knowledge stored in my head-although it does come in handy for spicing up my lectures in history class.
