Donny, I'm more interested in wondering why you have three commas in your sig, when none are really necessary. You should introduce yourself to the hyphen. BKB is good with them.
Good punctuation on this board is a must. I learn a new rule almost everday on this board.

OK DJ, then let's try a little quid pro quo. What are you planning to give your sweetheart for Valentines Day?

It would be interesting to see you be involved in one of your threads for a change. You know, rather than just asking questions.

Perhaps a better way for you to start a thread would be like such:

Hey guys, I'm thinking about giving my sweetheart something special for Valentines Day. My present ideas consist of getting her a 1/2 day at a beauty spa, a dozen roses and a nice dinner at her favorite restaurant, or renting some sappy movies to watch with her after ordering Chinese takeout.

What are YOU giving your sweetheart for Valentines Day?
Such a post, IMO, will lead to more thoughtful and serious discussions, if that is what you are truly seeking. And if you aren't... then quit whining that people aren't taking your posts seriously.

Some of you have been helpful, some of you are plain SICK!

My intent for this thread was to see the spectrum of different ideas that people have for Valentines Day.

Let me re-phrase the question, "What are YOU giving your sweetheart for Valentines Day?
donny,

Help us out a little, how old is this girl?

That would help some.

Actually, it looks as though the only unnecessary comma is the one after the word "here." The 2 that surround "well" are needed, since that word is not descriptive or combined with any other part of the sentence, and is essentially a separate idea/statement. He could have also replaced those 2 commas with sets of "..." since they would indicate a break in the sentence which could be interpreted as pauses or the like. I'm not certain that hyphens would be grammatically appropriate for such a sentence.

Now that I've appeased the INTP (Myers-Briggs) within me, I return all of you to your normally scheduled trainwreck.

Technically, this is correct. However, aesthetically speaking, and looking for a good streaming continuity, I believe this would be more appropriate:

"The views expressed here are solely my own - well - most of the time."

Actually, one comma probably would be best. Thus:

"The views expressed here are solely my own - well, most of the time."
