That finale was messed up last night. Famke Janssen (Ava) was a man say it ain't so. Unfortunately my girlfriend looks a lot like Famke so I might have some bedroom issues for a while. :ohwell:

I don't watch "Nip/Tuck", but I thought I'd tell everyone that Smallville is having a "Nip/Tuck" episode tonight (whatever that means). I'm a HUGE Smallville fan and thought this would be a good opportunity to get a couple other people watching it so I could discuss it on the board some :biggrin2: .

I didn't know that they could have nudity and the word "shit" on the WB. :p If Kristin Kreuk is getting naked I'll be there with bells on. I loved her part in Eurotrip.

Nudity = asses and sides of boobs. More than they can put on normal TV.

The other kid (Adrian) wasn't biologically related to Ava (Famke). I think Ava was screwing him because she was in love with his father (Alec Baldwin- who did her sex change). She liked screwing boys because they couldn't tell that she used to be a man. Vagina was screwed up (Christian figured it out in a second when he put it in her). They made her a deal that they would fix her vagina if she would break it off with Matt. Adrian ended up killing himself because he was tired of Ava hurting him.

This has become one of my favorite shows. I only wish I had watched it last year. The fact that it's daring and is willing to make people uncomfortable is what attracts me the most. I'm tired of the "cookie cutter" shows that the networks regularly put out.

I thought the season finale was amazing - both with the writing and the acting. I can't wait for the new season!

wow....it sounds fucked up.

am i too late to start watching? is it like sopranos where you need to know what the fuck has been going all at all times?
You can probably get into it next season, unless the worst happened last night. I think they replayed season 1 before season 2 started in June so you should catch that if you can. Season 1 is on dvd now so you might want to check into renting it.

PS-Last nights show is on at 10 on Sunday.

I am addicted to this show. I couldn't believe that shit with Christian...remember the foreshadowing last week with the DR from Atlanta?

Does anyone know when the next season of The Shield starts, tried looking on FX's site several weeks ago and got nuttin. I know I need my head examined but Michael Chiklis makes me hot.

I also like Rescue Me, started watching it as filler before Nip/Tuck since I always watched the second run of it.

The Shield is the fuckin' bomb-I actually like the episodes where the emphasis is off the continuing storyline best. The new season will start in February or March I believe.

Nip/Tuck is too weird and messed up for my tastes.

I heard a rumor that Alias isn't beginning either because of writing issues or because Jennifer Garner is no longer dating Michael Vartan (Agent Vaughn)
(she is now with Ben Affleck) and things were a bit awkward. Who knows what really happens in these situations.

As far as being able to pick up Nip/Tuck next season - I think it's possible, especially since I jumped into it this season and had completely missed the first one. I'd recommend checking out the show on the F/X site (http://www.fxnetworks.com/main.html). I noticed there's a link to "Nip/Tuck links" and perhaps somewhere in there you can find plot summaries. You'll lose something as far as appreciating the idiosyncrasies of each character, but that can be picked up over time.

Lastly, I'd also like to recommend F/X's new show, Rescue Me. Dennis Leary is great in it, and F/X allows him to be himself - funny and raunchy. You'll get occassional nudity in that show too (for all you guys out there). The show follows the lives of fire fighters in the NY Fire Department after 9/11. There is some action during each episode, but the primary focus seems to be on the fire fighters themselves.
