Didn't want to start a new thread for a PK, but Alex Steigerwald from Benedictine - happens to wear #85 - appears to have a very strong leg. He sent the opening kickoff vs. PA Gateway 5 yards deep into the endzone, which I would assume is rare for high school kickers.

Anyone know if Ohio State is looking at him?

That is pretty good for high schoolers. But you cant just go off of PK stats when recruiting a kid, because of the "no kick return rule." I remember last night they emplimented it with teh Glenville game.

Not really sure what the no return rule has to do with his leg strength....

He's 2-2 on kickoffs and seems to be accurate on FGs too.
You asked about his recruiting. I guess I didnt clearify what I was saying. Its hard to recruit kickers because of rules like the "no return." Becasue many kickers could have touchbacks and what-not. But to my knowledge, OSU isnt persuring any kickers at this time (per Bucknuts).
