Are there any Stud Fullbacks on our radar Screen?

I heard #49 Dionte Johnson 6-0, 220, Fr is supposed to be a bruiser. May have to bulk up a little but he was a wrestling champion and runs a 4.5 -40 so he has speed and can hit (so I am told by a few freinds who have seen him play here locally) , plus he is the son of a grea player (who knows if that helps haha). We shall see how he turns out but I am ever hopeful.

I mean a 250 lbs. 4.6 to 4.7 monster. It is our tradition our M.O.

Brandon Joe always hurt and the other Brandon can't take a linebacker. We need one for short yardage. The 5 wide on 3 and 1 in the fourth Qtr. Like Johnny Mac. used to say, " you can't be serious!!"

if we can hold on for a year.. Chane Moline (Mission Viejo) gives all the signs he will be the #1 fullback in the land for class of 2006...

He has the physical appearance and running style that emulates an Oak tree with fast legs... He had a run the other night and the star LB came at him, Moline put his helmet in the kids chest.. kept going for 38 yards and a TD...game was stopped for 20 minutes while an ambulance came and carted the poor fella away...

I think I want him on my team..

Jamar Martin was only 6'1" and weighed only 235 and he wasn't bad at blocking and bruising. Its not the weight you have, its the skills at blocking and at present, I agree with you in that nobody at that position has shown that. IF Johnson is anything like advertised I think you'll be satisfied. The only other potential Fullback that may or may not be recruited in 2005 is MAtt Shumaker who is 6'0" and weighs 229 . We'll see if he gets picked up. Strength and skills at blocking are more important than the weight, haha but yea that does help if they got a lil more to throw around.

BuckinMichigan this May help in reference to Hubbards Comments. found this in an earlier Post by Hubbard :

Hubbard said:
I went to the game last night and despite East being a horrible team and us trouncing them, there were still soem very interesting things. HUbbard didn't pass as much as I thought they were goign to, supposedly they switched offensive schemes this year. I suppose we will see as the season unfolds, but I bet they are still a run first team. And here's the reason why: Ben Lane, Shaun's younger brother. He's about 5'10" 240 pounds and fast. Almsot a prototypical FB, a couple more inches would be nice though. He had some OUTSTANDING blocks tonight, I would say he had over a half dozen pancakes last night. He also carried the ball tonight and ran everyone over. I hope OSU gives him a look as well, he could make an excellent FB.

Just thought I'd share, anyoen else go to any games?

After seeing him a few more times I would say his weight is abotu 225, but he is still a big boy. He probably runs a 4.6 or so, but he just DOMINATES people. I don't even watch the runner anymore I jsut keep my eye on him.
