Falcons Drop First Dual Meet of Season at Ohio State

Columbus, Ohio - Bowling Green dropped its first dual meet of the season at Ohio State on Thursday night, 206.50 to 93.50, in Columbus, Ohio. Three Falcons posted runner-up finishes, including sophomores Brit O'Connor and Caroline Keating, and junior Kara Ohngren.

O'Connor was second in the 200 backstroke (2:10.43) and the 400 IM (4:38.92), finishing just behind OSU's Samantha Johnson (4:37.73). O'Connor also was third in the 100 backstroke (1:00.92). Keating had runner-up finishes in the 100 free (53.85) and 200 free (1:54.13). Ohngren was second in the 1,000 free (10:24.06) and the 200 breaststroke (2:29.24).

Senior Erin Dilkes was second in the 100 breaststroke (1:09.04), junior Dana Schultz was second in the 200 butterfly (2:06.39), and freshman Lisa Hipp was second in the 50 free (25.02). The Falcons return to action on Nov. 12 when they host rival Toledo at Sam Cooper Natatorium in the BGSU Student Center.
