UCLA newsletter talks about Frye towards the end (highlights mine):
After the mess that was the offense line was during the Jim Mora years, Frye has done an excellent job developing the Bruins offensive line.

His work has paid off on the field. UCLA’s running game has been a vital part of the Bruin offense and
Frye’s work with the offensive line deserves credit for much if not all of it.

In fact, I might even go as far as to suggest that Frye deserves at least some consideration to be the Bruins’ next head coach if Kelly should leave. That said, if Frye leaves UCLA for Ohio State, I fully expect to see him get hired somewhere as either an OC or a head coach in the not-so-distant future. He’s definitely an up-and-coming coach. He just might not be quite ready to become a head coach quite yet.

Petey was just 15 -20 ahead of his time; with NIL it's not cheating anymore. Hell, Petey is a proven winner at the college level (i.e. in 8 years at USC he went 97-19 and finished in the AP top 4 seven consecutive years). If Petey gets fired form the Seahawks there will probably be several schools offering him a job. Think about it, every school Lou Holtz left went on probation and it sure didn't stop yet another school from hiring him.

Love it.
Though these titles have a Dwight Shrutte feel.

I firmly believe this is a solid upgrade.
Stud was by no means a failure. Just seemed like he was getting stale especially on the recruiting trail.
A dead cat would be able to bring in self-selecters to our OL.
But he didn't seem to have many recent big wins especially for out state kids.
NPF was driven by Schiano whose kid went to the same HS in Tampa.
Not sure about Donovan Jackson.
There were some notable misses in-state.

I never questioned Stud's ability as a competent teacher.

But time for a change.
