Head Coach
This game is between the #1 ranked team in d-I vs. the #1 ranked team in d-II.

I live in Lima and I believe the game is already sold out, I think it is going to get a lot of hype.

Travis Walton(MSU verbal) is the main guy for LSH, but I don't think they will be able to handle Akron. I am not sure what Akron has besides Wilson(hopefully tOSU verbal for fball).

LSH has a very weak conference, it is made up of d-II and d-III teams. It could be a close game, but I see a blowout win for Akron if they are good. I cannot believe LSH is ranked number one. What happened to Dayton Dunbar. I thought they were supposed to be unstoppable.

What do you guys think.

i believe they have a nice pg who can score. a good wing threat, and lawerence down low. i have not seen them. ive heard some second hand stories from ealry. i heard they were tough. honestly i cant tell you much. hope you can find a ticket.

***They’re everybody’s big game even without the big man.
***And Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary boys basketball coach Dru Joyce wouldn’t want it any other way ...

... St. Vincent-St. Mary will be the first No. 1 team to play at Lima Senior since Lakota in 1991 when the Spartans won the famous “Firecracker Game.” Toledo Macomber was also No. 1 when it played at Lima Senior in 1989 in Jim Jackson’s senior year.

***St. Vincent-St. Mary’s leaders this season are 6-foot-3 junior Marcus Johnson (21 points a game) and 6-6, 235-pound senior Lawrence Wilson (15.3 points, 7.7 rebounds). Patrick Nygaard, a 6-1 junior, is scoring 9.2 points a game and point guard Brian Glasper, a 6-1 junior, averages 7.8 points a game.
***Wilson is a major college football recruit who has said he will choose from among Notre Dame, Ohio State, Michigan and Florida ...

Good luck to Lima Senior. On a side note, is the new school and gym finished? I believe the last time I was home they were just starting construction. There is some excellent basketball around there. I played at Lincolnview and alot of afterhours ball at Delphos, good stuff!!!

The new gym and school in general is very nice. The gym is excellent.
I've seen Senior play 5 times this year and they are very very good. The conference, while not the GMAC they used to play in, is still solid with
Sandusky, Fremont Ross, Findlay and Napoleon being the main teams along with Senior. Either way this is going to be a great game. Hopefully I get tickets for it. Waiting for a phone call ....

75-58 game was at Findlay
Senior had their ass handed to them never led once in the entire game.
Walton was 2-15 shooting ended up with 8 points
Senior shot around 35% Findlay shot 60% with 38 ft opportunities plus 2 tech fouls on top of that.
Your not going to win that game when you play that undisciplined.
This is def. a case of looking past your opponent and on to the next game.
Senior beat Findlay back in Dec by around 20 pts +/ so I guess they thought this was a no contest game for them

WRONG

Well LSH beat Akron as Walton completely took over in the fourth quarter. I believe Marcus Johnson had 25 until they put Walton on him in the fourth and he scored nothing. Johnson can really play tho. Wilson is big inside and can really bang.

Walton showed me a little something tonight in the fourth quarter but was in foul trouble early on with 3 in the first half.

Akron was 24-30 in the first 3 quarters but didnt shoot real well in the last quarter.
