Nope, I wasn't voted homecoming King. A couple was nominated for King and Queen and I'm happy they won and got to go together. It was great to see the alumni, especially a few of my old teammates.

Halfway through the season and we're 3-2. We won our homecoming game against Big Walnut, 47-14.

We played away against them last year. I was injured, pacing up and down on our sideline on my scooter. We lost that game and I was so frustrated. We had three key players out injured. So I was thrilled that we were on the winning side this time and that our whole team played a great game.

We were able to spread the ball around on offense, gaining over 520 yards. Our defense continues to do really well. I'm proud of my team and how we've been playing.

I had two touchdowns, one interception and 127 rushing yards on six carries.

We have a bigger task this week against the Olentangy Braves and hope to add another win.

I spent Saturday back at the ‘Shoe for the OSU-UNLV game. It was HOT. That had to have been the hottest game I've ever been to. I brought two friends, one who had never been to a Buckeye game before. It was pretty cool to share that experience and we had a great time.

It was good to see the athletes getting more confidence. Besides the win, the best part for me was seeing Marcus Williamson and Brendon White getting playing time.

I've been taking ACT prep three times a week and finalizing my college application which should be ready to turn in at the end of the week. I'm glad to have that wrapped up, but it's another thing that hits home that I'm actually preparing to go to college. I know everyone goes through it, but the reality sometimes hits hard.

Nice article, it's good to hear he understands the importance of the academic side too.

Re: The average ACT score composite at Ohio State University is a 29.

Holy shit, (back in 1966) I never took any practice/prep ACTs. I'm not 100% sure what my composite ACT score was, but I think it was something like 21. Which probably today wouldn't even get me into Columbus State let alone Ohio State. Fortunately for me back in 1966 the only requirements to get into Ohio State was a high school degree, get your application in before they reached their quota, and be breathing. And I'm not 100% sure that you even had to be breathing.

No, that wasn't a prerequisite. As late as 1977, when I enrolled, you simply had to schedule Remedial Breathing 101.

Haha it is most definitely way more difficult to get in there now. I had a 26 ACT and a 3.9 GPA, which put me on the wait list. Thankfully I got in. But getting into OSU is seriously tough these days.
