No fucking way is any team better than the 2002 team. No. Fucking. Way.

The 1998 team choked at home. The 2006 team got ape-fucked in the title game by a team that was no where near as good as the 2002 Miami team. The 2002 team was the antithesis of choke...in fact they were the very definition of resiliency. They did to Miami what no one outside of Ohio thought even remotely possible.

"14-0" is all you need to know.

Am I the only one here that thinks the 05 Ohio State team isn't getting enough love here? At their best I think they would handle 06 and more than likely give 02 a serious run for their money (having 2012 and 2010 above them seems ludicrous to me).

IMO (just OSU teams, ranked based on how they were at their best)

1. 98
2. 02
3. 05
4. 06
5. 10
6. 12
7. 09
8. 07

2002 is the only B1G team in the BCS era to win a title. They should be #1, without question, IMO.

Now, if you want to rank most talented teams of the BCS era...that's a different discussion, maybe 1998 or 2006 bounces above 2002 for that list. But 1998 blew a huge lead, at home, to a mediocre Michigan State team and 2006 no-showed the title game.

I think their murderer's row of a schedule, in which they played such powerhouses as UC Davis, disqualifies them from relying on their 14-0 record. At any rate, Herbie probably has them at #1 on his all time list, so what you say has some truth to it.

4) Tie between 09 & 06. I might even give a slight nod to 09 because of our pass rush that year
5) 2010 edit: If they handled business in Madison then went on to crush Auburn (which they would have) I'd have them 3rd.
