There is a rumor circulating that the Indians have agreed to terms with Kevin Milwood on a 1 year, $7 million deal. Announcement pending passage of a team physical.

No link, like a said it's a rumor.

If true, this is a spectacular move. Milwood is a solid #3 starter. Contract length and money are good.

I'll believe it, when I see it happen. The only signing the Indians have done this off season is sign Mark Shapiro to a 2 year extension. (Joke, I know they signed the free swinger Hernadez.) If Milwood does indeed sign, it will be a nice pick-up, much better then the possible Eric Milton pick up. He could be a solid 3 or 4 starter behind Sabathia, Lee, and Westbrook.

If true, this is a great move for Cleveland. I've never been a big fan of Millwood, but put him behind Sabathia and Westbrook and give him a good offensive team (like the Indians' young line-up), and he could be very effective.

If the Tribe can shore up the 'Pen, they could make a real run at the Central. Shapiro's done an outstanding, A++ job so far.

As far as Milton is concerned, I don't know what the Reds were thinking. That's an AWFUL signing! An average flyball pitcher in that ballpark?? Are they crazy!?? I know they were desperate for starters, but that was ludicrous!
