Mostly that he is a 'beast' right now. I've had a little experience with recruiting rankings as well bro. Rankings also cater to programs that have been 'media friendly', travel to showcases/combines, and have a history of prospects.

Walker needs work... HUGE lump of clay, needs to be molded. If he puts in the work, he could be pretty good down the line...

But garnering an offer this early shows the staff thinks they can easily work with him... Needs to commit to his conditioning and work hard at getting stronger...

I just meant in terms of physical ability and potential. The scouts are likely going to drool when he hits some combines. Both times I saw him play, I was very impressed with his tenacity and movement for such a big guy (granted I didn't watch him as much as I did Sturdivant, Wynn, Jones, etc.).

RRod offered Walker via Facebook message today & Joe Paterno has also emailed to indicate an offer from Penn State is coming... He's starting to think about visits & discuss his options for visits with his Mom... His decision will likely come on or shortly before signing day... He & his teammates have talked about going to the same school but it hasn't been mentioned in a while...

I guarantee it wasn't Paterno that sent that email. Doubt RRod was actually the one on facebook too, but the image of him trying to find football players on facebook makes me laugh.

Walker would like to receive offers from Texas, Florida, & Southern Cal... His current measurements are 6?6?/335 lbs... He loves to play aggressive & do a little talking to his opponents... The best player he faced last season was Roosevelt Nix from Reynoldsburg... He admits he loves OSU & wanted to go to USC when he was younger... His Mom wants him closer so that may affect his decision... No leaders & he plans to announce around signing day...

By Gary Housteau...talks about how blessed he feels...PSU has told him they have sent an offer, joining Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State, Illinois, Indiana and West Virginia...says football and academics are both important...not timetable for a decision but says it will likely be around signing day...talks at length about the OSU offer and the Glenville guys he is in touch with in Columbus.
