QB Jack Miller (transfer to Florida)

Thats a major IF, and the staff has to not only be great at recruiting, but at reading the minds of teenagers and their families even more. The right type of kid with the right mentality can make this system work. I'm just worried about the big ego elite 1 kids like a Martell who could throw a monkey wrench in the plan

sure but the portal works both ways. The key thing is Day's appeal to any QB wanting developed.

I'm just thinking you can get a couple of blue chip freshman in the room for depth instead of roster filler like Chug/Hoke

Dude, Hoak. I wouldn't call you on it but the error turns him into Claptain McRib, which isn't fair to the kid.

Different time, one of them would've been gone in this era. Just like I doubt we would've had Cardale in 2014 if the transfer portal were around. No way is a former 3star with a cannon arm sitting
I dont understand why you're going after me on that question. The question was asked and I answered it.

There have been a number of highly rated QBs coming in to a school in the same class. Georgia had 2 Elite 11 QBs in the same class in 2008 (Aaron Murray and Zach Mettenberger). One stayed, one transferred. You wanna put an asterisk next to that one too, or does that fit criteria you were considering for their question?

My bad, I wasn’t trying to seem like I was going after you. Just saying that it will be hard in this era to keep 2 elite QBs for an extended amount of time in a class. And what will most likely happen is one kid will stay and the other will most likely transfer

And the Portal can close with another NCAA rule change.....

Like something from a Star Trek episode the "Portal" will get smaller and smaller because big time coaches are crying to the NCAA about too many transfers.
This maybe for another thread but... the Portal is just a fancy list to say “hey i’m looking to leave my current school”.... NCAA wont close down transfers because they can’t. Its not like the Portal grants you some type of special immediate eligibility... transfers and grad transfers will always be there.
