Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened. Long live the Alliance!!!

I know most are reading this as in the Alliance isnt happening but it reads as if they have completed the scheduling part of it, as in the parameters for scheduling, but have to agree on implementing it. Gerdman could have made it a bit more exact but it is Twitter

Meh, the whole Alliance thing was mostly about throwing a wrench into the playoff expansion talks and making it take enough time for the bidding on rights to open up to other networks besides ESPN. They seem to have succeeded, so they likely don't really care about it, in any of the 3 conferences.

Playing in the frozen Shoe is a bigger disadvantage to anyone that tOSU plays than playing indoors (even with a home crowd) is an advantage to tOSU. Imagine Bama or Georgia having to come to Cbus in December for a playoff game in 20 and snowy. Case in point the scUM game this year in the giant frozen toilet of a stadium. The conditions + home field turned the game and we are used to similar weather. If we had a rematch in Indy the next week the game would have likely played out differently.

Agreed on all points. I think there's already too many "neutral site" games as it is. Play 12 games, and then play a neutral site championship game, and then play a neutral site playoff game, and then play a neutral site championship game. Play more home games. If we're doing away with divisions, then #2 should have to go to the #1 team's home stadium to play the conference championship game. Then play all playoff games in home stadiums. If that team chooses to let their "home game" be played at a neutral site, then fine. But I'd rather see Ohio State home games be played in Columbus.
