They really need to fix the squad system. Beyond the usual launch bugs with EA console games and struggling to join a game with friends, they created a system with a lot of locked squads. If you join a game with friends (I think if you join together), your squad will be locked until you change that. That means that on a team with a limited amount of squads, there will be a handful of locked squads. They really need to turn off the lock by default and let users go into the menu and turn it on if they want.

The spawn system in this game puts you 25-50 meters from any objective (or more), so spawning on teammates is essential (since you spawn much closer to them). Thus if you only have 1-2 squad mates, you're at a severe disadvantage as a team against many 4 & 5 man squads.

I kind of like this feature, especially if you're trying to spawn on a base that's being captured. In BF4 you'd often get spawned right into the heat of the action which usually resulted in an instant kill. I haven't touched the MP portion of the game yet either.

I play it on the PS4....it does feel a bit like Battlefront, but it's what Battlefront should have been, so it's a good thing.

Honestly, other than the initial weapons being a little odd to get used too, I like it.

I ordered the XBone S 1TB BF1 bundle for $279 yesterday. What should I start with to get the hang of the game?
Definitely go through a few of the single player missions first. They're really well done and serve as non-tedious training exercises (that's not why they're there, they just have time to breathe and learn unlike the 64 man battles)

I'm a big time battlefield guy (and pretty good at Bad Company 2) and I got worked for awhile. Also take time to find a gun that works. The regotti is pretty nasty and accurate. I can't seem to use the other guns at the front of the battle lines, other than the shotty (which is a typical pump action, slow reload, big power, limited range gun).

Then I'd suggest doing conquest to allow you to be a productive member of the team before you really learn how to fight.

Rush mode is awful. I live for Rush in bad company 2 but they ruined that version. The attackers have 75 tickets and they spawn the defenders miles away from the bomb sites. So when it's lit, you either all defuse it immediately, or you respawn and spend the entire countdown time running back to the objective in vain.

Operations mode is really fun once you have your bearings. It was overwhelming when I was still learning.

I started playing this and BF4 again and really enjoy it when I can hold my own (1:1 k/d ration usually). Matches where I usually end up with an instant death really kill the game for me. One thing I really hate is the incredibly slow load times.
