Honestly after dinner, I plan on watching band of brothers. If I decide not to do that I can just play mw3 online or something. First college football nat'l championship I won't watch since 2000. It's not like my espn app won't be blowing up anyway.

To me, LSU is so far and away CFB's superior team this year. Watching them when they are clicking on all cylinders has been a thing of beauty this year. I'm interested in seeing how that looks when it rains down on Alabama. So I'm mostly looking forward to this game because I want to watch Les Miles and his kids dismantle Nick Saban's squad in surgical fashion.

If LSU's sheer athleticism and really high level of play doesn't shred the Tide right from the start (their first meeting notwithstanding), I will flip the channel without a second thought. I'm not interested in any sort of a back-and-forth battle between the two, regardless of the end result.

Not me. I want Bammer to lose in a quite dramatic fashion, so I can tune into Slimebaum tomorrow afternoon to hear all the Bammer fans give their take on why they lost...

It is fitting that such a horrendous year of CFB is capped off by this mess, even moreso with the lipstick ESPN & CBS will try and put on this pig.

The only year to redeem this year would be for the AP poll to declare LSU the national champions sunday or monday morning.

Bama's playing for a laughable split and I won't be watching.

Not because it's the SEC (I love watching these two defenses), but because it's already been played, at Bama, and it assaulted the eyeballs of the viewers with its excuses for quarterbacks.

Well, yes, but who else would you put in the game? Certainly not Oregon, not Okie State, not Stanford and thank God Boise State stumbled.

For whatever reasons, the choice seems to be the best possible given the rest of the season.

What I don't like is the strong possibility of reversing a regular season result, but if there had been 8 team playoff with these two teams seeded 1 and 2 I seriously doubt the final game would be any different.

After watching them dismantle OU, I thought they deserved the shot. I feel even more that way after watching the Fiesta Bowl. If LSU wins, they deserve the crown. If bammer wins, I'm hoping for a split.

This game is even more proof college football needs a playoff system...if they played through and ended up in a rematch that way, it's a lot better than the rubbish we have going on now

Alabama won one quality game this year. Because they play in the mighty SEC, no one bothers to look at the teams individually or who they played.

Did they play runner-up UGA? No.
Did they play 11-2 S Carolina? No.

They beat Arkansas, then padded their stats against a heap of mediocrity.

I don't know if OkSU can beat LSU, but I'm quite confident they could beat Arkansas in a shootout.

A team that already lost this game, at home, in VERY sloppy fashion, is a pretty lousy choice.

I think LSU is better than OkSU, probably much better.

I KNOW LSU is better than Bama.

Bama has not earned this benefit of the doubt.

True. Individually the teams apart from Arkansas and LSU aren't great. I've seen people argue that Auburn and Penn State were good wins but not in my mind. Penn State won close or got slaughtered by a better team and Auburn got manhandled by any good team on their schedule apart from S. Carolina.

LSU on the other hand, picked apart teams that have done good this year and has more statement wins. Alabama has the best defense on paper with the numbers but LSU has the best defense against high powered offenses and is electric.
However, I will not be watching this game unless the family guy episodes on tonight get boring.
