Everybody is somebody else's weirdo.
Should Ohio State schedule Cincinnati in basketball? I say NO. I still hate them from the 1961 & 1962 championship games, not to mention the Damon Flint fiasco. What do you think?

However, if we did play them annually, it could turn into a really great rivalry.

Do we really want to piss off a roster full of guys who have committed 25 felonies each? There really isn't a dirtier program in teh country, if you ask me.
A lot of people would make the same uninformed claim against our football program. Does that mean other teams should stop scheduling us in football?

It's not that uninformed of a comment about the violations that their program has commited. According to the Street and Smiths rating of the top 100 basketball programs of all time Cincinnati has the most NCAA infractions in college basketball history with 5 reported by the NCAA. So far out of my knowledge the NCAA hasn't punished Ohio States football program.

My inside on Bob Huggins. I never respected him, but I know a story from him that made me hate him more (this comes from a well respected Cincinnati sports figure I will not mention). He played in a golf outing a few years ago right after UC made the final 4. A guy in his group asked "did you think you could win it all?" Bob responded "no, they were a bunch of n-words." Not the exact quote, but I'm sure you can figure it out. Huggins is a bumb that doesn't care one ounce about his players.

No need to play such a...well, I won't cuss. You get the idea.

I hope you didn't actually buy that story.

ok I seriously doubt huggins goes around calling them that, outside of a misguided attempt to further align himself with the thugs of america. Most of my comments about him are partial fact, but mostly stereotype-based.

Well, all I can say is it comes from a person I am very close to and a name that many of you would recognize (I can't reveal for smearing a big name). I suppose he could be lying, but he considers Bob Huggins a friend. He told the story as a joke, not some attack on him. I was rather insulted, but that was me. I take it as truth, but I guess it could be a bar joke. Yet the source I am speaking of is very reputable and one I have never known to lie. Take it for what you will.

No, it's not Pete Rose. Good laugh though. Like I said, take it for what you will. Just one of the few inside stories that I know. It could be false. I'm sure many will believe that. Just thought I would add a little to the UC discussion that few would know about.

Maybe we shouldnt play UC, even know I would love to see it.

But why in the hell with all these D-I programs in Ohio do we go out of our way to schedule Portland St.

Lousville and Kentucky play.

We could play Cincy, Xavier, Dayton, Miami(OH), BG, Toledo, Akron, OU, Cleveland St., Youngstown St., Kent St.

These are the type of games me as a fan would love to see. I don't like watching us play teams from clear across the US when they have no business even being in our gym.
