Best online place to buy RAM?

Looking to upgrade from 256mb to 512mb of RAM. Can anyone recomend a good place to buy on the net? or.... could I get the same deal by driving over to Best Buy?

Someone will probably have a better suggestion, but try zdnet's pricing guides. I found a digital camera for about 40% less than Circuit City. Not surprising; prices there are horrible.

www.newegg.com is very good, i.e. quick shipping, great prices.

www.tigerdirect.com is another goodie.

www.pricewatch.com is great for all computer parts online, though I almost always jsut go through newegg.com since they have good (if not the best) prices and ship super fast. Some of the "affiliates" on pricewatch.com can be shady, so look at the comments on each.

Exactly why I just stick with newegg.
I havent ever heard a bad thing about them, and I personally have not had a single bad experience with them.

Check http://www.salescircular.com/ for what's on sale in your area. Unless I'm really saving a lot, I prefer the convenience of going back to the store for returns if there are problems.

mwave is cheaper, MUCH faster shipping, and generally just easier to deal with. My company has ordered from them for years, as well as my own personal crap.

A couple of friends swear by newegg... Good service, however if you look around, you can find things cheaper at other sites... they are a standup company as far as I've heard...

With mwave, if you order overnight, the only way you dont have it the next day, is if Fed Ex screws it up somehow. That always pissed me off about newegg.

they actually link the other places that were mentioned like newegg and tiger direct along with 100's of other online stores, with reviews of the stores and the products, i look here first for practically anything that i buy these days........you can sort by price/rating, and you can even educate yourself a bit on the products by going here and sorting by the parameters or looking at side by side comparisons
