BET pulls Eminem video

I am such a loser for knowing but.....

they have had the same type of career.... one big hit and then never heard from again.I was bored on Sunday and happened to watch Behind the Music for LL Cool J. From what I saw, he did a bit more than Hammer did. He is the first artist signed with Def Jam Records, has recorded 11 albums for the, now owns the rights to his catalog, had several hit singles (remember it could have been a hit in Hip Hop and many of us wouldn't have know), appeared in over 20 films, had a hit show (never saw it), and performed at a presidental inaug. No, I don't know whose it was, I feel asleep.

Tried to find the Hammer info to argue apples to apples but it just wasn't there. I guess going bankrupt gets you erased from google.

I was wondering about the 'Ladies Love Cool James' comparison. I think half of us must have watched that behind the music. Honestly, it wasn't that good, compared to others I have seen.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

If you have ever seen one of LL Cool J's movies you wonder how he keeps getting parts, he is a horrible actor. A friend of mine in advertising explained to me that he appeals to a segment of the public. Apparently just about all black women find LL attractive and a high percentage of them will go see anything he is in. Apparently the tough guy looks go well with the sensitive songs. Damn, if I could only sing or look tough.

I love the one where he's a cook with a parrot and there are, get this, really smart sharks loose IN THE BUILDING.

JHFCOABGDC, I should be a screenwriter with the shit that actually gets made.

Ok, there's these guys and they set sail in a replica Viking warship dressed as pirates and they eat paint chips...

Yeah, you're right, it sucks.

Deep Blue Sea was one of the worst movies ever made.

That's the name. I've just seen chunks of it on cable. Yes, a tremendously awful movie. At least the sharks looked more real than in the Jaws movies.

The sad part is my wife wants to watch it everytime its on... but that's only because she'll watch any movie where someone gets eaten by a Sahrk or anything like that... I think she's seen Jaws 500 times, and laughs hysterically everytime that chick gets it at the beginning.

Now... as to Drug Addled Pirate Vikings... I think since its a period peice...production costs might be prohibitive... but I think you've got something.

I saw that flick. It was groundbreaking in that the black dude is not only not the first guy eaten by the shark, he actually survives! Of course, they totally ruined the only redeeming quality of the movie by making an explicit remark about LL's survival at the end.

The Eminem thing isn't about race, it's about money. BET made alot of money off of the fame of Michael Jackson, and they probably still make alot of money rehashing his glory days. How anybody can even begin to claim Jackson as black is outrageous. Nevermind the actual color of his skin right now, look at his lifestyle! He's about as black as Bill Gates and Peter Jennings. As a white man though, if black people want to claim him, I guess that's alright with me. Jackson may not even be a human being anymore, and I don't think he deserves to be a part of any "group" that I belong to.

BTW, has all of this made anyone else think of Dave Chappelle's Racial Draft, with Michael Jackson stepping up to the mic and saying, "Fo shizzle... I always wanted to say that?"
