Better NFL LB's...scUM or tOSU?

This space for rent.
Similar to the WR thread...scUM fans feel scUM LB's are better than their tOSU counterparts.

Burgess and Woods don't add anything to Michigan because neither plays. Carpenter, Grant, Gibson and Spitler don't add anything to OSU because they either don't play or flat-out suck (Carpenter). Mouton, Rolle and Homan haven't played a game yet, though it looks like Homan will be cut, but none can count yet because they haven't played a game. So that leaves you with Foote, Harris and Woodley for UM with Laurinaitis, Diggs and Hawk countering for OSU. Where's this big advantage for OSU? Harris is better than Laurinaitis, Woodley is significantly better than Diggs and Hawk is better than Foote, but still nowhere near his draft rank. Where's this big advantage?

Michigan:
Prescott Burgess Baltimore Ravens
Larry Foote Pittsburgh Steelers
David Harris New York Jets
Jonas Mouton San Diego Chargers
LaMarr Woodley Pittsburgh Steelers
Pierre Woods Buffalo Bills

Ohio State:
Bobby Carpenter Detroit Lions
Na'il Diggs St. Louis Rams
Thaddeus Gibson San Francisco 49ers
Larry Grant San Francisco 49ers
A.J. Hawk Green Bay Packers
Ross Homan Minnesota Vikings
James Laurinaitis St. Louis Rams
Brian Rolle Philadelphia Eagles
Austin Spitler Miami Dolphins

Agreed. Laurinaitis will be the best of all of them when its all said and done. He already leads that St. Louis defense.

And something should be said to have an entire 3-deep worth of LBs in the league when scUM can only muster a 2-deep.

I'd take a line of Laurinaitis, Hawk, and Homan/Diggs/Rolle over any lineup scUM can put together.

Given the different stages of the players' careers it's pretty tough to compare. They may be apples and apples but some of the apples are old and some are just beginning to get ripe.

We could discuss for weeks, and in the end we'd probably not come up with this;
UM has the edge at QB, WR, TE, OL, DL, LB, CB, K and P. Ohio State has RB and S

CB...Leon Hall...:slappy: ...Morgan Trent...

As a whole I would have to say OSU. However, Woodley causes more havoc than anybody on that list. I think AJ is getting better with age. David Harris and Laurinaitis are Mr. consistent. They aren't flashy but don't mind doing the dirty work.
