I will never, ever besmirch the concept of mascots rocking out to 80's metal. It's just too awesome.

However, the idea of starting new traditions is 50 Shades of Gay.

Here's a tradition!
Why not mix alot of Jim Beam with diet coke and ice in the parking lot? Then drink it and scream your ass off at the game!

Fun article. While many Universities are cracking down on excessive drinking, rowdy tailgating, open container laws and public drunkenness - West Virginia has decided to double down.

They are building a party deck in their stadium. :lol: :drunks::slappy:

I have no desire to go to a game in Morgantown, but I've heard rumors the fans are classic drunken assholes with very few polite welcomes. This should intensify the atmosphere in the stadium.

I was stationed with the practice squad FB for WVU and he was spot on that description. That place is flipping nuts and could very well be the next PedSU type crazy cult. He almost got arrested from GTA and DUI for stealing a Wrangler and driving it on KSU campus. Got out of GTA because the kid couldn't remember what he did the night before and the DUI was dropped because he was tagging a hotbox blonde whose daddy knew the Governor.

Lucky bastard! From what I remember we had fun that night, too.

I've warned my UT friends in Chicago that their visit to Morgantown will make them completely forget 2005.

I once had a WVU fan brag to me that a stadium full of WVU fans could "beat up" a stadium full of Ohio State fans.

When I told him the numbers involved (which he was totally unaware of) he gave it a second thought before coming to the same conclusion.

Also, this was a WVU student... not just some fan from the hills.

So, um, yeah. That is a nice microcosm of what their students/fan base is like.
