Big Ten Championship Game

(Apologies if there's already a thread on this, I can't find it if there is!)

So I've got tickets for next week's game and can't decide whether to sell them on or go along for the ride. Presumably I'm not the only one in this predicament ... what's everyone else deciding to do? Is it still worth a day out?

Welp, the CFPO folks have their work cut out, especially if Wisky wins on Saturday. Double especially if Washington loses to Colorado. Triple especially if Clemson chokes.
This is the chaos scenario for me.

Each team could make a strong case. Wisconsin doesn't have a signature win, but their losses aren't bad either. Meanwhile, Washington will have two losses and an extremely weak SOS (127th out of 128 nationally). The Pitt loss looms large for Clemson, and a loss to Virginia Tech would be pretty bad too.

I can't win the argument on this site, but history, stadiums, facilities and fan bases tell you that Ohio State and Michigan need to be in opposite divisions to prevent just such a travesty - but even that doesn't assure that the best teams get into the CCG, or win the CCG.

It also probably means that The Game would need to be moved to October so that you wouldn't end up with the same two teams lining up a week later.

In a perfect world there would only be a CCG if the two best teams in the conference did not play head-to-head during the regular season. e.g. 2003, Ohio state and Iowa.

There remains a scenario where Penn State or Wisconsin could win the CCG and not make the Rose Bowl, I believe (Michigan would go). Which is [Mark May]ty, and basically renders the CCG a complete farce, but it is what it is.
They can't choose ttun over the champion if the champion isn't going to the playoffs. Championship is an auto bid. If they do go to the championship then it would be ttun but I really doubt that happens. I think Oklahoma would jump them if Washington or Clemson loses. If they both lose then don't be surprised to see Colorado leap up. That would be a coin flip. COlorado has better wins and better losses. Only way I see a real chance is if okalahoma, Clemson and Washington all lose.

Penn State dodging all the non-mediocre teams in the West is a farce, fuck em. Wisky would easily be undefeated if they didn't draw Ohio State and Michigan.
