Those are just the games that have been released so far. They plan on having 35 or more football games. I suspect that both OSU and UM will have games on the Big Ten Network.

I wouldn't mind that at all, as long as I get them with my basic cable package.

Every team will have football games on the B10 Channel...so yes, that includes tOSU and TSUN.

Better hope you're not TWC... I haven't heard anything specific, but if they couldn't get ESPNU & NFL Network, I think they'd be even more cumbersome in signing up with the B10 Network (a lower profile addition, imo).

Oh yeah, there are people who are going to be left out...oh well. And I'm not really sure what package level you'll have to have with DirecTV to get the channel. DirecTV has changed their channel descriptions/packages, so it's hard to know at what price point you have to be in to get the channel. I'm sure it'll shake out soon though.

Anyone know how this will work on Big 10 campuses? We have a pretty basic cable package, but it would seem like as a student who pays to go to, and live on Ohio State's campus I should get the Big 10 network.

Somehow I get the impression that I won't get this on my standard Cable lineup. They will move games to the B10 channel and I will be out of luck. :(

I guess we'll have to call up the bar and find out if they'll be showing it.
First round is on me.

Just got off the phone with Directv. The package I have has been Total Choice for the last 6 years. They changed the names in March. The Big Ten Network will be on the Choice package, which is the old "Total Choice" one. This came from a supervisor at Directv, FWIW.

Time Warner Rep on 1460:
- We're interested in getting the big ten network
- She can't say whether they are in talks/negotiations yet
- She's not aware of any other local cable providers with the network

Translation: Get DirecTv. Better selection, price & proactive with new stations like B10Network. I'll be signing up this week.

Other points:
- They will be FINALLY adding ESPNU, no word on when

- Never say never about the NFL network (aka no reason to be optimistic)
- NFL Network games on local tv? Yes in Cinci, Cleveland... no in Cbus (don't qualify as local).

The question I have is will this finally be the end. If you have ESPNU and the Big Ten Network, will this problem go away?

I'm going to doubt it. The Big Ten Network 2 will be launching sometime around 2010 I bet, one year after ESPNU2.
