It just seems that you can make anything look faggotty as you can and use the same five fucking pastel colors and viola, you have a complete set of TV characters. If those aren't a blatant rip-off of the butt-fuckies, er, tele-tubbies, then I don't know what is. I smell and alternative lifestyle law suit...

Our kids are all stupid nowadays, because of this crap. These shows absolutely do not help. They are not educational. You have these big, fuzzy, multicolored things that make weird noises, etc. How is that supposed to help? I think the Man is keepin us down. He wants us to remain dumb.

Speaking of Thomas the Train, I bought a couple of tapes (yes, tapes) for my kids. One of them was narated by non other than George Carlin. Yep, thats right, George freaking Carlin. The man that brought us the 7 words you could never say on tv is narating for Thomas the Train.

Yeah, and he did a great job too.
Also, Denny (icantrememberhislastname) from the 'Mamas and the Papas' was the conductor charachter for a few years.

I was flippin through the channels when this came on and my son stopped me. He had obviously seen it before (I dont' know where) and actually liked it. I let him watch it for about 2 minutes when I decided that it was too gay and turned the station to CN.

Has anyone realized how bad some of the SpongeBob episodes are?? As much as my son loves the show I personally think it is more for adults than elementary school kids.

Tom and Jerry is nothing compared to Coyote and Road Runner. Those suckers were violent.

Thing is though.. that stuff wasn't necessarily intended for little kids...

HAving said that though.. I loved watching that stuff... and should I ever have Children... they'll learn ridicualous cartoon ways to inflict pain as well.

Mine already have. You should see them. A 7 and 3 year old playing king of the mountain on the stairs, beating each other with their shoes, the occasional "reach over and pinch just for giggles" moves.

Parenthood rocks.

On a positive note, My 3 year old will give you a hardy I-O if you say O-H.

I think the creators like to make a show that kids can watch, and that they can watch when they get high. I can see a group of them sitting around a bong laughing their asses off.

Yeah... we have a few Thomas DVD's and one of them is Carlin and the other is narrated by Alec Baldwin.

Carlin also played Mr. Conductor on another kids show Shining Time Station for a few years.

My kids watch all kinds of stuff but lately all they want to watch is the Original Dumbo movie and The Secret of Nimh... anyone remember that movie... about the Rats and Mice that needs to move Mrs. Brigby's house????

My boys... also three... are doing that too. They even make the O H I O with their arms... just in time for football season.

My wife gets really POed at some of the SpongeBob stuff. I also think alot of this is for adults.

I have my youngest one watching hunting shows with me. Initially she watched to see the dogs point and retreive. She is pretty good at picking out the trophy bucks now.:)
