BP Fantasy Baseball (2008-2023, Current Champion = MD Buckeye)

Well, if I don't get 1 IP today, you win @Ahiacitian.
Leave it up to the Indians to fuck this Reds fan up the ass. And I just realized I traded you the pitcher that got you your final inning you needed. :smash:

Nice win. 0-2 in my two league finals this year. God I love being the first loser...

You noticed that, huh? That was my first thought, as well. I came in to the day thinking that it was a fun ride either way but when I realized that I might lose because of only having 34 IP, I wasn't a very happy camper. Then Miller came in and I thought "okay. Here's my inning." Well, Miller only got me 2 outs and I was back to thinking how monumental of a choke job this was about to be. Then came Allen. My savior. And yeah, you did trade him to me but there were many a time where I regretted that deal, thinking I should have just done the Kershaw for Blackmon straight up deal.

Congrats to you, anyway. You had a nice season. Things could have gone a few different ways and I just ended up being the lucky one.

I just want to say that this season was a lot of fun. I gained a love for fantasy baseball that I never knew I was missing. There is definitely an extra level of gamesmanship and strategy when it comes to this. It isn't like fantasy football where you set your lineup and hope your guys each get a lot of points and that's it.

It was a fun ride. @Jake, you beat me 11-1 the first week. @MD Buckeye, you hit like 40 homers against me in one week (it was really a league record 27.) @Jaxbuck, why did you let all of your guys get injured? @Smudger, you're my trade buddy for life. @buckeyemania11, you rejected every trade offer I made, and picked up McCutchen after I cut that bum. @Bucklion, I don't think I ever offered you a trade (I could be wrong) so consider yourself lucky. @brodybuck21, I think I was indecisive about every trade offer I made you. Consider yourself unlucky. @Ahiacitian, I can never thank you enough for Cody Allen .

Who am I forgetting?

Oh yeah. WhySoSerious. The league is officially ruined.

Questions for the league:

Who here at BP is going to replace my disgruntled co-worker? "Serious" needs to go.

I'm considering some changes re: team management, moves limits, trade limits...thoughts?

I recall there being some suggestion at the end of last season about a change, but don't recall what it was. Anybody?

I don't know what everyone else in the league thinks about this, but could we move the playoffs up a week next year so the finals are the next to last week of the season like fantasy football? The fantasy baseball season is a grind anyways so I know I could care less if the regular season is one less week. However, I hate the fact that teams that have playoff spots locked up are resting their regulars and giving abbreviated starting pitching outings for their starters. I am where I am at because of the Daniel Murphy's and Clayton Kershaw's, and I am forced to spin the free agent roulette wheel in the finals because these guys are resting? @Jake, I propose a vote to see where everyone stands on this issue...

Last year was quite the anomaly on the trade front. I doubt we have that many again. If you want to set a trades limit or moves limit, I would suggest doing it per week and not a cap for the season. Maybe something like 8 add/drops and 3 trades per week?

I liked having the expanded rosters, with the ability to have a lot of DL slots and also being able to keep minor leaguers in the NA slots is a plus.

Of course, Brody already quoted my suggestion for moving up the playoffs by a week. That would be a good change imo.

Damn. Down to the Mendoza line. I am also halfway to Buffalo Bills territory. Neither are good.
