BP Fantasy Baseball (2008-2023, Current Champion = MD Buckeye)

The first fantasy baseball league I ever played began in the 80s - a roto league. My buddy ran it from day one, moved to Yahoo about 20 years ago - we scored that fucker by hand before then. Can't imagine doing that now, what a pain in the ass in retrospect.

Sadly, cancer and Covid took him from us at 52. Still can't believe he's gone. Myself and and a half dozen other old timers decided to keep the league going in his honor, so I created one with the same rules - he was the only commish so we had to let the original go. Point being I may have a spot or two open if anyone is interested in playing.

As for our league here I can easily renew the Covid league, if necessary. I haven't heard from Yahoo and don't expect I will.

I received a customer satisfaction survey from Yahoo asking for feedback for the "support" I received from them. The only thing I ever received was an acknowledgment that I asked a question, so I think we're going to have to move forward with the league from last year.

I'll hold off renewing it for a bit longer just in case they actually respond to my survey questions. In the meantime, toss out any ideas for changes.

Okay, so I'm using the league from two years ago to email invitations to the new one. Resurrecting the original league isn't happening, unfortunately.

If you recall, we had planned to carry one player from that season to the next as a keeper. Once again, we're kind of fucked since we're starting new.

Frankly, I don't care if we do keepers. It created more work than I expected and didn't seem worth it just to keep one player. Suggestions?

In the email sent to you, you have to copy the link and go to it to sign up.

Tapping the "Go To League" button will only take you to the old one, because I had to use it to email all 10 players.

I’m up for whatever as well. If that means starting with a clean slate every year like in seasons previous? No skin off my back.

I haven’t played roto in over a decade and wouldn’t mind playing in that format again if you are in need of players. Besides, gives me another chance at finishing second in a fantasy baseball league.
