field proximity i’ll give you and agree that it is an advantage southern teams enjoy.

but majority of bowls are played in moderate weather, if not actually indoors. so no i don’t think the weather negatively affects any one team over the other.
sometimes weather is so atrocious that field conditions make playing difficult for both teams.

LSU played Ped St in one of the florida bowls in absolute slop. both teams played like complete dog shit

GPA for using the proper Chariots Of Fire soundtracked video. A lesser man wouldn't have thought to do that.

Miami has more than one Nc they won on their own field, in the heat and humidity while a cold weather Nebraska/Oklahoma was dying.

Gator was going on about what an advantage the heat was for UF in regular season games against out of region teams. I'm sure Death valley would be no different.

But ultimately, if you guys don't think weather really matters, it should be even less of an issue to come play football in the cold then.

    question about the buckeye stickers:

why do y’all seem to put them all on the left side of the helmet?
is there a meaning behind that side? or did it just sorta happen and just continued.

It's cause we're all leftist kummahnnists. We just start filling up the right side when the left is full.

I think it just starts on that side... eventually both sides will be covered.

we talking bowl games or early regular season?

because in September into early October, yeah Death Valley is miserable hot.
someone who posts here (don’t remember who) came to a day game last september against Auburn. he can vouch for the heat.
that’s actually the reason we started playing night games once electricity was available.

we don’t play a bowl there, but typically in late December/early January, it damn sure ain’t hot and humid here.
    in fact, just the opposite.
many fans and players who have come to NOLA for the Sugar Bowl actually complain about not being prepared for the cold when they get here.
Including some tOSU players back when we met up for the BCS CG.
Indiana fans, Notre Dame fans same story. Was waaay colder than they expected.

we were talking regular season at first but Bowls came into it

The South does feel colder than expected because it's humid still. Cold up north is with dry air but there is a world of difference between feels colder than it is 50's and real winter conditions. See the last time da U had to play Wisconsin in Orlando outdoors in 50's temps. Those bitches were huddling around space heaters. The Wisconsin guys were in t-shirts.

i can’t speak personally on it because i’ve never been in “real winter conditions”

worst i’ve ever been in was actually last winter when i was offshore.
50mph sustained winds (gusts around 70), raining, and 36°.
    wind chill was -8°

    but we were wet.
    which makes everything even worse.

yeah, y’all wouldn’t want any part of an early season day game here. especially if we get a early morning shower, then the sun comes out.
    like a fucking Sauna.

just like i wouldn’t want to play in Cleveland in January.
