Really like this kid. Just a gut feeling, but I think he will end up being the one and only QB in this class. Just a perfect fit for our offense.

I feel like Watson is enamored with the idea of starting as a true freshman, which OSU just can't offer. Think he sticks with Clemson. And I don't know if a guy like Barker is elusive enough to run all of the read option stuff that Urban loves.

I'm with you, I really like him. I don't know why we didn't offer but this kid has really good accuracy and decision making to go along with his athleticism

Of all the "back-up" (for a lack of a better term) options behind Watson, this guy is hands down the best of the bunch, imo (over guys like Barker, Henderson, Allen, Crest, etc...).

Ditto, this is the kid.

Good athlete but I just don't see anything spectacular about Harris. While he is creative and throws the ball with some nice touch and makes some intermediate throws, his arm strength is average at best. Whenever he throws the long ball, the ball flutters and when he throws to the far side of the field on digs or deep outs, the ball takes a long time to get there and that won't fly at the next level. Some of it is mechanical but even when he steps into his throw, the deficiency is still there. Conversely, Barker gets those throws out there in a hurry and I really don't think UFM needs an "elusive" type of QB...frankly I think Barker is a better runner than Watson, but Watson is just a better passer and has more tangibles. Tebow wasn't an out of the world athlete (I think Barker is comparable in that regard) but he thrived in UFM's offense.

That being said, I think Harris will find some level of success somewhere because one, he is a great athlete and two, he can be successful if the OC works with his strengths and avoids putting him in situations where his weaknesses will get him in trouble. I want to qualify all of this by saying I do think he is a good prospect but I still have Barker and Kyle Allen ahead of him (as do all the scouts I know of for what it is worth).

College coaches stop by Parkway's football practice to check out Brandon Harris
Published On: Apr 29 2013

The Parkway Panthers began their spring practices in Preston Crownover Stadium today. The Panthers have 40 seniors and about 100 players trying out for the team and head coach David Feaster said he wanted to get them out in the stadium to see who are the ones that will get playing time this upcoming season.

One no-brainer is returning quarterback Brandon Harris is attracting a lot of national attention. The senior gun slinger already has around 10 college offers including LSU, Arkansas, and Louisiana Tech to name a few, as well as a handful more who are still looking at him.

At today's kickoff practice, two Big 10 schools were on the sidelines checking Harris out and it's supposed to be like that with plenty of schools this week.
