Bryce Harper (Buckeyes Fan, Philadelphia Phillies)

500ft is some prodigious power but there is just soooooooo much more to it.

This kid is getting some bad advice imo. Finish high school the right way son, be a kid for a while. You aren't emotionaly prepared for what awaits at 15-16 years old. Baseball will still be there in two years, I promise.

Gary Sheffield is the best you can come up with? Think about roided McGwire swinging a metal bat, or sober Josh Hamilton, now those are guys that I would want to see swing with a metal bat.

Let me go on to say I'd also be in favor of seeing Ted Williams, Hank Arron, Joe DiMaggio, Roger Maris and even Babe Ruth swing a light-weight, compressed gas filled, metal baseball bat. Would be incredible to see what anyone of them could do.

Gary Sheffield swings harder than anyone in baseball, outside of maybe Vlad Guerrero. You try playin 3B with one of those two up at the plate with a metal bat.

Not many playing on the grass there eh? The scary thing is the bats would also likely be mandated to be heavier...HS used to be -4 and had to change back to a -3 ratio. The only problem in MLB is these guys are strong enough to swing that much weight...
