Cost is the round that player will be drafted in the upcoming draft. For example, I picked up Kamara as a free agent last year, our rules stipulate that all free agent pickups cost a 7th round pick. So during the draft Tuesday, Kamara can’t be picked by anyone else and he will be my autoselected choice in the 7th round.

David Johnson and Michael Thomas were late round selections as rookies so they still have great value as keepers. No one drafted Kamara last year, I picked him up as a free agent, so his value is a 7th round pick. OBJ was released last year by another team after his season ending injury. I picked him up as a free agent and stashed him in my IR slot for the rest of the year.

That was one of the reasons why I wanted to add a second IR slot. Now if one of your best players or keepers goes down with a season ending injury you can stash him in an IR slot without dropping him and still have a second IR slot to use throughout the season.

The cost is stating that it will cost you your 5th round pick for Wilson and 7th round pick for Goff. You won't get to select a player in those rounds because they will already be chosen in those rounds for you. If you want to keep them next year the cost would change.

The "1" next to both of their names means this is the first time they have been a keeper regardless of team. A player can only be kept for 3 seasons in a row again regardless of which team they started.

I honestly didn’t look at the rosters of the teams until after assigning them to the new managers, it was simply first team in received first team out, second team in received second team out and so on.

Damn MD, the draft date and time was changed so you could make it!

The draft was fun, though the anticipation of the draft and who you might end up with always seems to be outweighed by who you actually end up drafting and lamenting the ones that got away. I am looking at you @boogs03, dude kept on picking my players right before me! Hmmm, guess they aren’t my players since they are on Boogs roster now...
