COLUMBUS, Ohio – Senior infielder Jalen Washington and redshirt junior pitcher Adam Niemeyer have been named captains of the 2017 Ohio State baseball team, head coach Greg Beals announced. The duo, selected as captains by their teammates, has combined to appear in 114 career games.
“Jalen and Adam were voted captains by their teammates and we on the coaching staff couldn’t agree more,” Beals said. “We have great leadership throughout our clubhouse but these two have more than proven themselves as leaders on the field, in the locker room, classroom and on our campus. I have absolute confidence in Jalen and Adam to captain the 2017 Buckeyes.”
