Buckeyes do you know anyone who will be in Hawai'i

Where's YOUR Gold Pants?
On O'ahu specifically the 28th of January...Especially Buckeye Fans! PLEASE pass this along! Archie is coming here for a dinner on the 28th to speak on behalf of The Ohio State University. It is a fundraiser for our local scholarship fund to send a Hawai'i Senior to TOSU with some a$$i$tance with tuition. Archie will be the main focus. Cost of the dinner is ONLY $30 (chicken and mahi mahi). This is sure to be a great time. Hopefully the attached pic shows up explaining the details. If anyone has questions, just email me at:

Scott, just got a letter from Mike Rethman today hinting as why I haven't sent my RSVP in...it'll be in the mail tomorrow. Also, there are four guys at work whom I know are Buckeye fans and I'll pass this on to them. It's cool that your alumni group is opening this up to non-members. By the way, when do you want to go get those GBs I owe you?

This is off subject. But, for the University of Hawaii, has the apostrophe always been in Hawai'i, and they just never emphasized it? Or did ESPN just put that in there for the Hawai'i bowl for shits and giggles?

UH uses the apostrophe, because that's technically how it's spelled. ESpin has just been slow to do so...

Yeah, I thought that might be it. I'm surprised that they didn't insist on Hawai'i changing there spelling, so it would match all of their graphics.:shake:

It is there to emphasize a glottal stop in the pronounciation! And for what it's worth...It is pronounced with a "V" not a "W". Also, when the island were referred as the Sandwich Isles O'ahu was spelled "Woahoo" and Hawai'i (the Island) was spelled "Whyee" forget the others but they are closer to Polynesian spellings than their current day English. I think Maui was "Mowee" and Moloka'i was "Roatai" or something similar.
