New hope turned into no hope as LostMan continued in his losing ways :(
No kidding, Losman is pathetic! What a waste of a 5-1 start with a very manageable schedule remaining. Right now I'm almost just hoping we lose out and get a better draft pick. I'm too much of a fan to want us to lose, but if we do at least there's that silver lining. I'm not really sure what went wrong here either, Trent just seemed to lose confidence all of a sudden and it trickled down from there. Hopefully it's just growing pains for a young team, the good thing is we're going to finish last in the division which means a more favorable schedule next year too.

Why is it that I feel like by signing TO the Bills have just been mathimatically eliminated from the playoffs and the first game is still six months away? I'll just keep telling myself at least I'm not a Browns or Bengals fan to keep it in perspective.

The more I think about this move the more I like it. For the bills there is no downside. They haven't made the playoffs in the last 8 years or so and in the league you either make the playoffs or you don't and it doesn't matter if you are 7-9 or 0-16.

Best case the bills gain tv exposure (which they haven't had in years), increase season ticket sales, increase merchandise/jersey sales, and fwiw become semi-relevant.

Worst case the bills still don't make the playoffs.

At least they are taking a chance and making a move to get better.

The big thing in their favor is it is only a one year deal, and TO will have to behave himself unless he wants to retire. His first year in Philly and Dallas were good. Once he gets paid, or not, the real MeO comes to the forefront.

The downside? He'll be 36 this year and he's coming off his worst full season since 1999. As his skills decline will he be able to deal with it, or will he blame everyone else around him? If it is the latter, Trent Edwards will have his hands full.

By the time this season is over with TO on board, I have a sneaking suspicion that the entire football universe will forget that you guys lost 15 straight Super Bowls during the 90's. :chompy:

Peace, and Good Luck.

One year deal.. the reward is greater than the risk. If he doesn't work out, just get rid of the guy after the season, or do what the Eagles did.

TO wasn't a nuisance his first year in Dallas if I remember correctly.. I think year two was when he started being himself.
