Butch Davis Termination Watch.

BuckBackHome

Wolverine is largest member of weasel family
I did not see the game yesterday, but it sounds like the Browns team stayed home. Based on what I have read and heard it sounds like the Butch Watch has begun. If so, I hope they wait until the end of the season, hire a GM and get someone who doesn't want to be surrounded by Yes men.

Peter King thinks that Kirk Ferentz will be the next coach. That would be good for the Browns and good for the Bucks to get Ferentz out of the Big 10. I think he's a coach that does a good job getting the most out of his players especially O-line.

butch davis is an ass-tart, plain and simple.

he sealed his fate IMO, when he made some comment about holcomb possibly starting over a healthy garcia. this was made on the heels of garcia speaking out about the predictable and ineffective offensive gameplan of the browns.

garcia calls out davis on his deficiencies, davis talks about possibly benching him.

later butch, head on down to gainesville.

I have been calling for Butch's head for two years now. They made it to the playoffs in spite of BD two years ago. I could care less if it happens today or at the end of season as long as he is gone.

I don't know about Ferencz. I think they need to get an experienced pro coach. Not anohter college guy. Spurrier, Davis, Carrol, these guys don't cut it inthe NFL. WHy do you feel Ferencz will be different?

Me too, I hoped at the begining of the season would we be 6-10, with the 6 wins against the rest of the division, I figured that would be enough to get him canned.
He is the WORST coach currently in the NFL.
The playoff run two years ago was because Tim Couch played his heart out that season.
I cant even say anything else becuase just thinking of him gets me really mad, and I have some homework to do!

I agree that they need an experienced pro coach. I hope it's not true, but I am hearing that Saban may be the #1 guy. Charlie Weis would be a good hire.

Saban has a legitimate professional resume ... he was D-coordinator back when Belicheck took us to the playoffs. I'd agree that we need somebody with pro experience ... Saban is the only guy in the college ranks that's worth taking a shot at though. The thing is, I think I read somewhere last off-season that he was pretty happy at LSU and didn't plan on leaving for a long time.

Ferentz was with the Browns when BB was the coach. Saban would also be a good choice, but I was just stating what Peter "OSU has no talent" King said.
