Buy at Amazon, support BP!

Just a reminder, this time of year Amazon is slammed with shipping and often offers a free $1 mp3 credit to downgrade shipping to regular speed. I split up my Amazon movie order into two parts and chose slow shipping for both and received a free 1 dollar credit when both products shipped. Then I turned around and used those to buy the car talk podcast episodes I had been eyeing. Usually you have about 3 to 4 months to use the mp3 credit. In this case I believe it was March 2015. This is a great way to pick up some easy spending money if the items you are buying a Christmas gift or something you can manage to wait an extra two days for.

Amazon typically ships things in 2 days when coming from Amazon and using Amazon Prime. I just ordered 3 items separately and they took about 4 days to ship instead of 2. The estimate is 5 days.

also amazon customer service has typically been very good to deal with. I ordered an out of stock computer monitor via slow shipping while I looked for a better deal. Then all of a sudden, the monitor was back in stock and shipping a day later. By that time, I had found a better monitor that I wanted instead but I was too late. The item had left the warehouse last night and was headed my way to a UPS. I contacted Amazon via chat at 9 pm to see if there was a way to cancel or just have them retrieve their own shipment, perfectly willing to pay whatever fee was involved. They contacted ups and rerouted the monitor back to Amazon. I was immediately refunded the full purchase price. One of many painless and satisfying experiences with customer service.

Welp, bad news, my personal laptop screen crapped out- laptop itself ran fine after 3.5 years, but the screen started running into flickering issues and now it seems the backlight is out as the brightness is virtually impossible to see (I thought it was a total black screen until I used my phone flashlight to brighten the dark screen and saw that thankfully my laptop had not crashed). Don't think I'm interested in spending whatever $200 it'd likely take to have the screen replaced so...

Good news- I'm likely heading to Amazon to purchase a new laptop. :pissed2:

Aww but yeah! :p Seriously, though, if you want to save the laptop, someone might be able to help in the computer forum.

Or one that makes woody toast and sell them for BP profit.

Like always, look at the link and see if it says buckey-09 in it (if you're on a phone, this might not show up). If you don't see this, which you won't in the above link, be sure to go back and use a referral link and check out using that tab.
