QB CJ Stroud (All B1G, 2022 B1G QB of the Year, All-American, NFL OROY, Houston Texans)

I know it’s been mentioned that his offers aren’t updated because he reports them after OV or something like that, but if USC and PSU haven’t offered according to 247, then that’s just one of a hundred reasons they can’t take that step.

He’s an impressive prospect; I see some pretty good pocket awareness (steps up but keeps eyes downfield) and can throw on the run. If anyone knows a good quarterback and kid it’s Day. Also, he isn’t just “depth.” That kids going to compete and could do absolutely absurd things with the incoming talent at WR and OL.

STROUD VISITS MICHIGAN
The most important visit of the past weekend, as far as the Buckeyes are concerned, was C.J. Stroud’s trek over to Ann Arbor for his official visit with Michigan.

While I said on Friday that I don’t believe Stroud will wind up with the Wolverines because of them coming into the fray so late, it’s obviously noteworthy that he has shown genuine interest in Jim Harbaugh’s program.

Stroud will now await his official visit to Ohio State this coming weekend, which could go a long way in sealing the deal for him to come to the Buckeyes, who are still rumored to be the favorite in this recruitment.

And, by the way, it turns out that those “We Want C.J.” chants from the Wolverines’ student section on Friday night were for Michigan basketball walk-on C.J. Baird.

If he comes away anything other than more solid to Day and OSU, I’m really not that concerned about it.

As we consistently say, if anything about Harbaugh and Michigan appeal to you, it’s just not meant to be at Ohio State.

It occurred to me this morning how huge of a recruit this is and how the talk on here has been rather null considering.

I mean the guy is sitting at 5 pages.

With a QB room that’s scary thin and Stroud being a major talent you’d think this thread would be pretty active.

I think that there's cautious optimism with getting him. And if he were to commit to the good guys, I could see his page exploding

Consider that he’s held almost everything in his recruitment very close to the chest. On multiple occasions he’s waited days / weeks before announcing an offer he received. He just doesn’t seem like he is interested in much attention or the game that goes on with recruiting.

In today’s environment it seems odd, yet totally refreshing.

Yeah I get that and Pnuts comment too.

I’m just saying he’s a HUGE recruit for this cycle and there hasn’t been much discussion on here about the dire need for him, his talents, etc etc etc.

It’s just weird that it’s so quiet and it seems like it may have to do with the fact that this class already has Miller. And I’m not throwing shade at him at all but Stroud certainly isn’t the “#2 QB” by any means.

I’m glad to have both of these guys assuming they both sign.

It’s just that the QB room is so darn thin and Stroud is such an intriguing prospect that the lack of discussion is something I found to be interesting.
