I have a thought about this upcoming fall football season. Like myself, I imagine many of you are going to be going to football games around Ohio and the country (for all you transplanted Buckeyes) during the upcoming season. In many of these games, OSU recruits will be playing in these games. The idea is to do a weekly report with help from whomever is interested. These reports will be just ways of tracking the recruits, talking about there game, how they looked, speed, etc., etc. We will keep it on one thread, and it's not going to be like a report that is found on Bucknuts, something less formal.

One game I know I will be at is Warren G. Harding vs. Akron Buchtel. I will be populating the calender with the dates and times of some of the premier match-ups such as this (any help from non NEO Buckeyes would be appreciated).

Just let me know who may be interested (to see if this idea will fly) by responding to this thread, you can chime in whenever you want about a game you went to, so there will be no commitment or anything, just something for fun. Feedback is always welcome.

If there were any games of interest around where I live involving a recruit you can count me in. I went to Ursuline's playoff game last year just to get a look at Delbert and LI. I like the idea Hubbard...

Bucknutty, where do you live? I know I have a few recruits games I'm going to see. Ferguson, Lane, Manningham, Lane's borther, Braxton, Pittman, and I'm sure there's a couple I'm missing.

That's the problem Hubbard. I live near Zanesville in Southeast Ohio. The last recruit I remember from this area going to Ohio State was Buster Howe back in the 80's, and he never got any significant PT. When the playoffs start there might be some better talent to see around here and I have a good friend in Columbus who talked about going to some games this year. I'd like to go see Sirjo at some point. I think it would be cool to do a little report on some of the recruits Ohio State is interested in.

I will be going to a few of Ben Person's and Marcus Freeman's games for sure. I live right between the two of them so I will see them as often as I can. I am also considering going to a Northmont game just to see a few other recruits. I would be glad to give any reports on the games, though I am not a scout by any means. I know football and I know a player when I see them so I will let you know what we have froma novice (wanna be) guru when Football season starts.

My father in-law is a coach in the Dayton area... I might go to a few of his games... He's D2, but they play CJ who tends to have some good ball players. Last year we went to all the games, however I think we will only be going to a couple this year.

In the columbus area I could prob. go to a big game if you need somebody to "scout" the teams and give feedback about the players...

Good idea... hope we can get this rollin'....

Hubbs,
Is the Harding Buchtel game the opener ? I will probably go to that.

Are you ore someone going to post schedules for some of the bigger games? It might be easier to plan if we knew dates. I think
Glenville plays in the Massillon area this year, I'd like to see that, as well as Mansfield @ Massillon.

I believe the Harding-Buchtel game is the opener. Yeah I am going to be posting some game times of good games. Although I'm mostly familiar with NEO games, so any other help would be appreciated. I will put the games here and on the calender in the near future.

Sounds good, CJ does have some good players and any Columbus games taht you want to report on would help.

You have a mission now, get some game info on Hoobler

Hubbs,
After looking at schedules, my tentative HS games will be:

Week 1- 8/22 Benedictine @ Howland (Williams)

Week2- OFF. BUCKEYE WEEKEND in Columbus watching the
current Buckeyes trounce U-Dub.

Week 3- 9/5 Glenville @ Strongsville Fri. (watching the newest Buckeye feeder program)

- Buchtel @ Harding Sat. (Multiple Future Bucks here)

Week 5- 9/19 Mansfield @ Massillon (Gotta see Jr. Jamario in action)

Week 8- 10/11 Sat. Canton McKinley @ Harding

Week 9- 10/17 Hubbard @ Girard (as you can attest, this has developed into a heck of a rivalry.)

Probably go to Niles in any of the other weeks.

Well some games are done. The problem I had was that some of the recruits such as Brock Bolen, Cadogan, I don't know which games are big-time games. If anyone sees anything I missed or something you feeel should be up there, let me know.

Brutus
Girard-Hubbard has been an absolute great game the past couple of years. About time someone comes into the TAC to challenge Hubbard.
