Was anyone else watching the news yesterday and wondering why in the hell they were showing clips of that car bomb over and over? Why was that single episode so big when something similar happens everyday?

Going on a bit of a rant here, why the hell is the Peterson trial such a big deal too? I just dont get it. If this were a famous celebrity or something I could understand but who the hell is this guy. Ok, so he killed his wife and unborn child. Doesnt that happend just about everyday?
Sorry to go off, I'm just completely sick of the media telling me what is a big deal.
