He deffinitely raised some character issues on a day when it should have been all about how well he played against a good defense.

Supposing for a second that Jarrett was in fact "less than impressive" as Jwin's link suggests, I just don't know why you throw away years of film of DJ producing on the field.

I know people love the draft analysis and combine stats and so on... but to me, it's absolutely ridiculous. Jarrett is indeed a first round pick, in my opinion. He could show up at the combine and run a 10 second 40 and my opinion wouldn't much change.... why? Because the kid got it done on the field. Too much emphasis is put on these "one shot" deals ...

Example: Troy Williamson.... great combine 40 time... WOW... hey, fellas, did you notice he can't friggin catch?

Terrell Davis runs a 4.8.. 4.9 40.... Later, runs for over 2,000 yards in a season... apparently a few tenth of seconds slower than he might have if he was faster.

Indeed, the friggin combine and pro days are alot like the Bar exam... it only marginally addresses anything that these guys will be doing professionally.

The NFL seems to fall prey to stereotypes quite often... and Jarrett has the Mike Williams tag to shed. Williams dominated in college. He did take a year off before the draft, however (due to a double reversal of the nfl draft rule).

There was no BP section on the Bar? I nailed that section of the CPA.

Exactly. Rarely are these guys lining up and sprinting for 40 yards straight without any obstacles. Football is a sport, and guys can either play or they can't. I'll take a guy who has produced on the field, and been a headache for defenses to try to contain over a guy who might be able to clock in a faster time in sprints. DJ is a heck of a receiver, and can play the game, and will be successfull in the NFL because of that.

Mike Williams is lazy. That was his biggest problem.

Yeah, I agree they do fall victim to it often. With as much money and such that these people have on the line, I guess I'll never understand why they put so much emphasis on the irrelevant (ie giving DJ MW's rep) or "one shot" ordeals.

Nope, no BP section. That was AT the bar, not on the bar.

    Agreed.

Hmm...hostility toward the Bar exam. So how many times did it take you to pass?

The best part is that the bar exam tests you on things that are no longer law.

The only rap on Jarrett has been his inability to get separation.
He will be just fine. He is solid as a receiver.
