Carroll Hoff "Beano" Cook

I am going to risk my life and reputation by agreeing with Tibor. :p To me, that reads more that NC State was BEATEN, as in solidly, at home by a top 10 team, and that Miami should do the same. Tone is hard to read, but I didn't take it that he's dissing Ohio State as if it's Ohio U. No way anyone who saw that game thinks that NCSU is a big roadblock in Miami's schedule from the way they played.

I have to agree with the first poster. If he felt that Miami would beat NC State then there was no need to mention that game. Since we are all speculating on what he meant, my take is that he he thinks Virginia and NC State will both give Miami a good game. However, since Ohio State beat NC State that game should be no problem for big bad Miami.

rankings

I don't think it matters really ... as long as we are ranked above teams with more losses than us I am cool. 3rd place 6th place ... not much difference untill the end of the year.

Yeah, he even tries to cover it up by saying he'd love to dot the 'I' (ad nauseum) and by predicting we'd win the 2002 NC. :roll1:
All that Beano's wet dreams of dotting the I prove is that he likes the band. I maintain that he thinks Ohio State sucks. As for 2002, he didn't predict the Bucks would win, just that they'd make it to the NC game. Plus, he said he thought they'd make it because of the schedule, not because he thought they were good. He basically made his pick based on the idea that he thought the B10 was weak, that Ohio State was the second best team in the conference, but since they played the "best" team in the conference at home that Ohio State would get by and would be able to amass the credentials of a team that is good.

I have heard of Beano Cook but I really don't know who the hell he is. Does he vote in the Media poll? If not why does anyone care what he thinks. Some dumb ass sports writer in Nashville named Joe Biddle has his "top 25" where OSU is ranked #15 behind scUM and FSU. He is an idiot, he doesn't get a vote so who cares.

He wants to "dot the I" because he wants the attention. And when exactly did he predict we would win the NC? Before the season, after which he then went on to pick at least 3 other teams to win it? Or simply before the NC game, when there were only two to choose from?

Didnt Beano say that Ron Powlus would win at least three heismans during his career at Notre Dame?

Beano is such a Notre Dame homer.....he is so biased everytime I see him on tv or on the net.....he absolutely thinks the big 10 is a joke...
