Cavs 2010-11 season (official thread)

No LeBron, no draft picks, bad Jamison contract spells sucko Cavaliers. First to near-worst in my view. Unfortunate.

For those who are on the bash-Bronnie crusade, let me just ask you this: would you really be eager to remain on a team on which one of your teammates was fucking your mom? Just throwing it out there ...

LBJ has probably f'd a couple thousand girls by now and I bet he meant every one of the things he said to them. Any righteous indignation he can conjure is pure hypocrisy.

That being said, I don't agree with the rebuild/win on the fly. I think they need to bite the bullet for a year or two and look forward to the #1 draft picks the Heat will be giving up and dismantle the team in order to try to get people you want three or four years from now. All I really see is Hickson and AV, and Gibson for the bench.

what ever happens I hope Gant is thinking long term not just win in the short term. I don't like Jefferson he's got a worse contract than Jamison, $12 M over the next 4 years. I know he's young but he's had injury problems and for a big guy that's an issue.... I think you try to acquire some younger guys with more manageable contracts ie a Johnny Flynn. Maybe I don't know. I just don't want to see us doing the same thing we did the past couple of years expecting a different result (the definition of insanity). Its going to be tough getting a super star unless they just care about basketball and winning ie Durant. Just my thoughts.

Gant will do what Gilbert directs... cuz it's Gilberts money... and I fear Gilbert may still be irrational enuf to think he can buy a ring... now... which means overpaying for mediocre talent... and delaying the process...

Could be a long time till we assemble a Cavs team like the team of the 80s with Price, Nance, Hot Rod, Daugherty... excellent players but no superstar...

With so many teams positioned to buy a star at max contract... unless we're close to being echelon competitive... will be tough to get one or more to say yes to play here...

I can only hope the lock out next year goes on for 3 years... or longer...

For those of you who have asked about prospects for the NBA draft next year is a site which gives the "most talented" players that will be available. Unfortunately, as in past drafts, many of the better players are extremely young.

Freshmen dominate 2011 NBA mock draft - NBA News - FOX Sports on MSN

You can also go to NBA.Net for the look at their rankings. I don't think that some of these sites include players who initially opted for the draft last year and then pulled out in the last few days like Johnson from Purdue but would be an excellent NBA playerIMO
