Cavs-Magic - Game 3 (Pick'em)

Okay, I know this has nothing to do what the game but who is the blonde lady who seems to be in the midst of everything after and during a game. During the regular season she was about the first person to walk up to Lebron and the other night when they were adjusting the shot clock in the corner she was pushing one with her feet. I don't know maybe she is the top PR person in the organization but then what would she be doing pushing a shot clock

Her name's Amanda Mercado and she's the basketball operations director, basically the head of their public relations.

I am growing more nervous about this series. Big leads lost, Orlando is getting whatever they want offensively, Cavs offense is one dimensional (please score LBJ) and Orlando is playing like they're the favorites. I hope going to Orlando moves pressure on the Magic and we start playing better all around ball, consistently.

I think the misconception around is that the Magic are the team controlling this series. If the Cavs would give a performance from first to fourth- not just first, we're still talking about that 10+ playoff win streak. The Cavs keep letting them back in, and tonight it's time to get that lead, but keep scoring, and more importantly keep playing solid d.

Orlando, in my eyes, has been in control of the series. Specifically the second half and especially the fourth quarter. Orlando is getting any shot they want and while the Cavs are getting good looks, this is an Orlando squad that is not known for its defense, we're just not knocking them down. I do not look for our shooting woes to continue (read: hopefully tonight), but we are not a good matchup with Orlando's perimeter size and we need to execute much better defensively. I know from my perspective, I have been on pins and needles since mid way through the third quarter in game one.

Cavs NEED to win Game 3. They can't come back to Cleveland down 3-1, and they can't continue to let Orlando think they're the team to beat.

My optimist view is if we can come out and play well and win convincingly tonight, the series will be ours.

For previous games I had advocated the strategy of letting Howard get whatever he wants - selling out to stop the 3-pt. shots. Regardless of how effective or ineffective that strategy turned out to be, I don't recommend it tonight. If the Cavs let Howard go wild and try to stop everyone else the crowd will go nuts and everyone will feed off of it. The Cavs are not just going to need to play better defense than the first two games, but better defense than they'd normally have to play in Cleveland if they want to regain homecourt advantage.

Cavs have pulled to within 3 - despite their eight turnovers.

I like seeing Joe Smith in there right now - I think he should've come in the minute Howard went to the bench. The really need his mid-range shot right now.

The Cavs right now could really use a guy like Flip Murry - somebody who's not afraid to shoot. Alot of the non-LeBron players seem afraid to take a shot right now.

They supporting players are shooting a little better to start the second. Hopefully they build a little confidence and rhythm with James on the bench.
