I really like kelena. He was a very good player at UK and I think he could really help down the road.

I also hope that the Cavs sign one of the rookie pg they had on their summer league team (Gilchrest or Lucas)

As for the snow story we all know he sucks.

Heat Plan Heavy Sales Pitch For Finley

Miami Herald - The Heat will make a full-court press to sign free agent swingman Michael Finley during an expected visit to South Florida early this week.

Eager to impress him, the Heat has placed 20 posters of Finley wearing a Heat uniform on light poles on streets next to AmericanAirlines Arena. One associate said Sunday he expected Finley to visit with Heat officials today.

The Heat is believed to be offering Finley the full $5 million mid-level exception. Finley, who averaged 15.7 points for Dallas last season, has strong interest in the Heat, sources said, but associates said he also in recent days has been considering San Antonio, Detroit and Phoenix.

The Pistons and Heat could each offer $5 million. The Spurs could offer slightly more than $2.5 million, but the Suns could offer only the $1.1 million veteran's minimum. Finley is believed to have already spoken with Heat president Pat Riley.

I like D. Jones, he can sure light it up! But, not much on the defense.
That's why they have Hughes and Snow (I'm sure Lebron will play better D with the new coach). If they need to put points on the board they could go with Jones, Hughes, James, Marshall, and Wild Thing and not be too bad on D either.

Fingers remain crossed for Finley signing with the Heat.

Then, trade Snow to Larry Brown, like he wants.

Sign either Gilcrest (sp) or Lucas to learn the point. Find a cheap
backup point (if you don't want a rookie as a backup).

DON'T sign Jahidi White .

As much as I don't want Snow to be the starting PG, I don't want the Cavs to trade him unless they can sign Jones and get a decent backup PG in the trade. They need 2 PG's that are capable of starting and if they trade Snow they are down 1. I'm sure they will sign at least one of the guys from the summer league team to be the 3rd PG, but I don't want a summer league guy as the backup.

That really hurts. It pretty much assures Snow as the starter andthat blows.
Maybe there is apg available we can trade for, I doubt that.

I'd rather not trade Jackson, Wild Thing or Pavlovic to get a pg.

Last I saw Snow, he was no better than last season. Maybe the coaches advise to him would be " Don't Ever Shoot The Ball". I was going to say shoot only layups, but he missed so many of those last season.

Hopefully one of the 3 summer league pg's can surprise everyone this season.

Maybe they will have Lebron play PG some of the game. They could then put Jackson or Pavlovic in at SF to get an extra shooter on the floor. If Lebron has anywhere near the improvement in his shooting as he did last year he might still be the best shooter on the team.

I was thinking that exact same thing this morning. I'm not sure if he'd be too crazy about that idea. They would probably be better having Jackson or Pavlovic in the starting 5 instead of Snow.

Well now it looks like Wild Thing will be out for 4-5 months with a bad shoulder so the Cavs have to sign a backup center/PF along with still needing a PG. I read that they are looking at bringing Traylor back now that he failed his physical with the Nets (WTF is up with their doctor failing guys?) The Cavs need 1 or 2 big men who can play D and get rebounds. Hopefully AV will be back for the playoff push.
