CB Doran Grant (Official Thread)

Rivals $

6/19

From the ND site...verbally offered by Georgia Tech, Georgia and Cincinnati and was told by OSU that they will be offering as well. Talks about how he performed at OSU...will camp at Illinois and expects an offer there and will camp at ND.

Theres a lot of talk about the kid from freemont ross, but I would take Grant AD ED as the best cb in the state, maybe the midwest. He went out to camps this summer and proved it. How many sophmores in H.S. have offers from Georgia right now, let alone kids from ohio.(Maybe the Millers)

There's no comparison between Grant & Brown. Brown was a name that surfaced a year or two ago, but really has tapered off while the Millers, Grant, DePriest, Rock and others have surged upward.

How do some of the insiders feel this one will shape up? I'd heard a year or so ago that some would guess he'd end up at UM, but haven't heard the same lately.

I'm just salivating at the chance to get a cornerstone player at each level on defense in this class with Miller/Depriest/Grant

tOSU stands a GREAT shot at landing Doran's signature and should be considered the early favorites... Should/could be a tOSU/ND battle for his services...

Grant should be a 9/1 offer as well...

OSU is out in front right now....and it's not even close. He likes ND, but he won't go there, he has a few older male family members who have met, and they really dislike Charlie. Also, a few coaches at SVSM don't like him either. LeBron or Lawrence won't let him go to UM either, lol.

From the UGA site...talks about going down to the UGA with the Raw Talent group and earning an offer from the Dawgs...says UGA had the best facilities of the schools he saw (UGA, GT, Kentucky, Cincinnati and Ohio State)...says he thinks he had his best camp performance at OSU and is confident OSU is going to offer.

UGA has better facilities than OSU?........really? Wonder if he saw OSU's facilities.

It says in that exact same sentence you highlighted he saw Ohio State's facilities.

The article only says that they had the best facilities of the ones he saw on the tour... Doesn't say which ones that he saw...

I'm not aware of Doran taking a tour (it's possible), just that he was here to workout and camp...
