Scout $ - Grant Anticipates Return To Michigan

By Christopher Smith

Coaches from Pitt, MSU, and Notre Dame are or will be visiting his school. He sees the potential for open spots in the UM secondary. He'll be attending The Game in AA and looking forward to just being a fan instead of a recruit. The only fellow 2011 recruit he stays in contact with is Greg Brown from Fremont (scUM verbal).

I might be reading it wrong?
He's attending this game in laid back fashion as a fan, since he's already analyzed UM closely on past trips.

That's definitely a GBW article. Topher makes sure there's little to no conversation about OSU, particularly with a recruit who loves the home team. If that was all you read, you'd think OSU hasn't been after him very aggressively.

The last question is without context as well. It could easily have been 'do you talk with any 2011 Michigan recruits?'

Doran Grant, SVSM junior defensive back

Height: 5-10. Weight: 175. College: Undecided.

Notable: Figures to be one of the most sought- after players in the area next season as he already has been offered scholarships by most major universities. Did a little bit of everything for the Irish, from catching 32 passes for 666 yards and seven touchdowns, to averaging 20.8 yards on kickoff returns and 18.2 yards on punt returns, to making 40 solo tackles.

1) Scout $ - Grant Takes Two Visits
By Bill Greene

Had a great time while visiting Sparty yesterday & OSU today... Was a last minute addition to OSUs visit list today... Spent a lot of time with the coaches & says it "couldn't have gone better"... Says he doesn't want to name a leader but OSU & MSU really stand out after his visits... Plans on taking all 5 visits & committing late in the year at the earliest...

Grants Dad, Ted Jones, was the leading WR for MSU in 1980, 81... Grant has been to MSU for camp as well as a couple of visits now... Speculation from this writer is that Grant will be one of Dantonios top priorities in the '11 class...
