Springs appears on a weekly Redskins show with Doc Walker and Chic Hernandez that is usually shown on Monday nights on Comcast Sportsnet. I was thinking, during the Cowboy's offense intros w/ Eddie and Terry and realized, I don't think it's simply school pride that makes them say 'The', I think 'face time' has something to do with it. All of the Buckeye's who I've seen on MNF, (minus Springs :p) have said 'The (insert pause) Ohio State University' and they clearly have more time on screen than the guys who simply say 'Kansas' or 'Purdue'.

BTW, great catch for Terry Glenn :biggrin:

And too bad Eddie didn't get the 'start' - first time in eight+ yrs in the league he didn't 'start' due to Dallas opening up w/ a spread offense. :(

I have been much too busy the past month and a half to stop by here regularly. Tonight I find myself with a little free time and find this asinine post with at least 8 little red chicklets. So Darius did you really go to OSU? If so, did you graduate? If so, look at your diploma and tell me what it says. And one more thing, it is The Ohio State University...not college. At OSU, colleges exist within the university.

I too would have liked to hear Springs say TOSU instead of his hs but it didn't bother me quite as much as it did others. For the future, if any former Buckeye wants to say something different for originality, I would recommend a simple "scUM sucks" (or would that not be allowed with the current FCC?)
