CB/WR Chris Gamble (All B1G, All-American, National Champion)

DiHard: "i could tell that by your pic mili.......

im guessing you go about 6-1 and 235 in that pic.....you had that matt keller type look....or aj hawk look.....

maybe you were like me....i graduated high school at 5-10 165......by my sophmore year i was 6-0 210...and it was cut weight....when i was 29 i was 6-0 and 230...and i couldnt wait for spring to take my shirt off.....

with those pipes of yours...i would guess you could do the 225 about 20 times......"

Actually, I'm a tad over 6'0" and right at 215 (I've already lost the 5 pounds I gained on the cruise). Yesterday was the first time I benched in over two weeks, and I got 320 up (no spotter) and could've gotten 330 or so had I had a spotter. I first warmed up with about 20 reps at 135 to get loose, did 10 reps at 225 (could've got 3-4 more had I had a spotter) and 5 reps at 275 before hitting the 320 max. The most I've ever done at 225 was 16 reps, and the most I've done at 275 was 12 reps...that was when my max was 355. I'm still have a bit to go, but I'm getting there. The Tinman Triathlon in July is going to put the skids on some of my heavy lifting though.

Brutus1: "Mili,
Fitch could certainly use your services now, especially after that 'move' to the Federal League last season."

Who all is in that league? I followed Fitch a little last year and they seemed to be doing decent for a while...weren't they ranked #3 or #4 in their region for a couple weeks? I can't believe they got rid of the SVC...

C-Dog: "I had about 6 months of dead time when I was waiting to pack up and move out for NROTC, basically spent my days training my replacement and working out. I left Hawaii (not for NROTC in the end) around 230 and it was all good weight.

Although, according to the BMI, that's obese. Then again, according to the BMI; Lydell Ross, Michael Jenkins, AJ Hawk and Will Smith are all overweight to obese too. lol. Have to love those sweeping standards."

The Air Force got semi-smart in the mid '90s when they shifted focus from body weight to body fat percentage. The system for measuring body fat was still f**cked up, but at least if you were "overweight" you weren't automatically put on the "fat boy program".

Gamble goes in first round

Well Mili Gamble did go in the first round to the Panthers. I know the Panthers signed Artrell Hawkins in free agency so they may not be looking for him to start this year. I actually thought the Packers were going to select him.

If only Mili would have accepted my bet. That season's worth of DVD's would have been awfully sweet. Maybe he didn't accept the bet because he wasn't all that confident Gamble wasn't going in the 1st round? If his 40 time was better he would have gone a lot sooner.

3 Buckeyes in the first round...not too shabby! :wink2:

Well, slurpee-monkey, I was closer to being right than the several others that were picking him as a top-10 or top-15 pick. Oh yeah, you're a doctor (supposedly), so maybe I'll have to explain how this is so. Since Gamble was taken 28th, that's closer to 33rd (first pick of second round) than 15th. If you recall, I did say on several occasions that amble would be the fourth or fifth CB picked...I just didn't think that four CBs would be taken in the first round. Was I technically wrong? Sure was. Was I close to being spot on with my prediction? Right again. If five other players were (even if all five were non-corners), then I could be jumping up and down saying "See, I told you so", but I wouldn't.

BuckNutty: I thought I did accept your bet. To show that I'm not a welcher, I'll send you a DVD of every game this year.

50 dollar bets like candy earlier in the season saying Gamble would not be drafted in the 1st round..? Did he get banned from somewhere? Im certain i saw him on the bucknutty site..

your knowledge of football is suspect....and your credibility is nil. Nobody likes you. Period.

UgottaBlowMonkeys: What an asshole. I'll be checking your IP, nimrod, and I'll have one of our moderators who is also a mod over a Bustnuts find the fuck out who you are, pansy boy. I could give shit if you like me or not. Gamble gets picked near the very end of the first round and your brave ass comes running over here behind a false moniker to gloat, whereas if he were picked just five positions later, you'd be at house sniffling because I was right and not have the balls to come over here and say so.

Fucking losers like you are the exact reason why I don't miss posting on Bustnuts anymore.

Oh, great. One of those ass-clowns learned how to use Google or something.

He needs to get his ass outta here, and take his crybaby pencil-prick buddy Kellen "Touchdown" (emphasis on the singular form of the word) Winslow back with him!

Earlier in the year I didn't think Gamble would be a 1st round pick either, I thought he would be a 2nd rounder. I did notice that the Espn crew did say that Gamble would be a guy that would probably take a couple seasons to start. That is why I was surprised at a team taking him in the first round. I am glad I was wrong and he went in the first. I am also happy he is going to a team like Carolina with a coach like John Fox.
Good luck to Chris.
