Regardless of the outcome--great effort by both teams.

I don't care how it ends at this point (90 sec to go), Our guys fought hard, especially from the short end of two questionable calls on goals.

If they play as hard as they did in this game, they've got a good chance of advancing in the tournament.

Pairings come out tomorrow, right?

all they gotta do is watch the stupid penalties - I think we had 28:00 of penalties - that's WAY too much. So much talent on this team, we're going to be very good for years to come!

Just got back from the Joe

It was definitely a classic game between our two school's. I'm a bit surprised by your reactions here. I thought that you guys got the better end of the first period of play. It was the only period in a LONG time where I can remember Michigan getting out shot.

I thought the refs were consistently bad which nullified their impact IMO. They really blew it by blowing the whistle too fast on what would have been your first goal, but from then until our 3rd goal I thought they did too much as overcompensation for that. I haven't had a chance to see the Hunwick hit because they never replayed it but I'd like to see it since you guys thought it should be a penalty. Matt has a tendency to blow his fuse so I wouldn't put it past him to have whaled on your guy as they were skating away.

Either way I think both teams will make a very good run in the NCAA tournament. Your win Vs. MSU has you locked in so don't worry about that. Your only fear now should be getting sent to the Minnesota regional. If you get sent there it is as good as not making it IMO. They are going to be STACKED. The brackets should come out tomorrow morning at 11 a.m. on ESPN2.

Edit: I'm watching the game again on TV right now and am starting to see what you guys were talking about in regards to Michigan dictating the pace of play in the first period. I didn't even notice it at the game but it seems like we were just a more physical team than you guys on the day. I'm still waiting to see Hunwick's hit but we're still late in the first period.

As the #3 seed we drew Cornell. If we get by that matchup, then we will play the winner of Maine/Minnesota. The games will be played on Minnesota's home ice.

This is definately a tough region (West). If we come out of it and back to Columbus for the Frozen Four, we would definately have earned it.
