Celtics-Cavs Second Round Series

I like the chances of the "Guys in Green".

The best player on the court at all times will be Lebron James.

The problem is that the next four are (in order):

1. Kevin Garnett

2. Paul Pierce

3. Ray Allen

4. Rajon Rondo

If you take away anyone one of those four, I'd take the Cavs in this series. Instead, I'll just bet with my heart, but I know the Celts are taking it in 5.

Andy needs to step up bigtime in this series and frustrate Garnett like he used to when Garnett play for Minnesota. If he doesn't step up, Ben will have to play big minutes and the Celtics will just load up on LeBron even more. If Andy does not play well, we will have zero chance to win this series.

I like our chances. The Cavs played them pretty well during the regular season and the Celts looked awfully vulnerable vs. Atlanta. Question is will that continue, or will it galvanize them. If Boobie, Wild Thing and a couple others step up to help LBJ, I think the Cavs can pull it out in seven.

I'd take Ilgauskas over Rondo for that #4 spot, but your point still stands.

These Celtics are certainly not unbeatable. However, I think the Cavs will need to win two games in Boston to win the series. I'd like to think the Cavs could defend their home court like Atlanta did, but they always seem to let one slip away at home.

OK, I know Mike Brown is finally getting some love from the pundits, and the Cavs have once again made the second round.

I still wish there were some way the Cavs could find a way to replace him with Avery Johnson.

Boston will win in 6 games.

No way the Cavs win in Boston and like jlb1705 said, Cleveland will let one slip away at home.

Unless LBJ has two or three games like this....

the Cavs have no chance of winning this series.

The key to the series will be whether West and/or Boobie can guard Rondo. I don't think they can, so I think Cleveland is in trouble.

The only thing the Atlanta series did was change my pick from Boston to the Lakers in the Finals. I don't think Boston has anyone that can match fourth-quarter points with Kobe or Lebron - problem is that Boston won't allow it to be that close in the fourth against the Cavs.

This will be interesting. Big shots need to be made.

West needs to open the floor, and Boobie needs to do the same.

Bench guys like Pavs, will have to get 6-10 points consistently, shooting well.

Good shot selection.

No easy baskets.

We can take it in 6, steal the first two in Boston. Course, I think Boston wins in 6, but money says Cavs in 7.

Neither team was really at full strength or the team they have now during the season when they played...

I really think that Z can have a good series...

Boobie, Wally, and West are going to get lots of open looks in this series, and lots will depend on how they knock them down...

One thing I noticed watching the Hawks series is that the Celtics do a lot of fouling and don't really get to the line that much...I think that can be a huge advantage for us if we attack the rim...

I think Ben, Smith, Andy can hold down Garnett some...He is going to get his points, but hopefully it is in the range of 15 or so and not 20+...

I think Allen is really the guy that is always consistent...IF we can hold him down I think we have a great shot at winning the games we hold him down in...But Pierce is also a tough matchup, but I think LBJ can hold him down most of the time...

It is going to come down to how us playing at the Garden...I really think that the first game will let us know a whole lot about the series...Think the Cavs need to take it to have a great chance in the series...If they don't take game one they have to take game 2...
